I am feeling nostalgic today for our HUGE 1/6 scale Mechanical Bruce Shark that we had the high honor of building and operating on location for the SyFy Channel's 2012 Original Film GhostShark.
My wife Cathy and I are among the privileged few in all history to get to create, build and operate an Animatronic Shark for a movie☺! My youngest daughter Rachael Schultz, actually got to appear as a double in a few scenes too! Fond memories. GhostShark was our intro into providing Practical Film FX. What a pressure cooker time that was for us back then. We actually were contracted to build all the giant Gator props and body parts for SyFy's RedNeck Gators during the final weeks of finishing the GhostShark! Then without even a breather we were again thrust right into developing and building SyFy's 11-foot long Bearing SeaBeast and chestburster babies! Fond memories. I still have all the molds. Perhaps I'll build another mechanical shark again one day soon☺ ....

Here is an answer to a frequently asked question I thought might make a great little post today:
Question, "Are your sharks durable?" Answer = Thankfully we do NOT make our sharks from cheap brittle polystone like most other collectible producers. I make our sharks out of several different pure resins. These different resin's properties work together to produce what we feel is the strongest possible shark. Unless soaked in liquid nitrogen my sharks will bend and distort long before breaking. In fact we are always experimenting with materials and methods to improve every display we produce. With this said my sharks are not toys. My sharks are the top-shelf of shark collectibles and I make them to outlive me and my customers. And they will last many decades if displayed properly and protected. My wife and I like to go antique shopping and one of the core things I keep in mind producing these sharks is that I hope they will be passed down to the next generation and make their rounds among collectors for ages to come. However nothing lasts forever. They can be damaged by direct sunlight, being placed near heat sources, children, pets, chemicals, liquid damage and they can be scratched through careless handling like any collectible, car, airplane, tank, house etc everything. We do not recommend our sharks for or to be played with by children. Not something you can boast about with Polystones and other plastics that brittle, shrink and crack after only months or a few years time...☺  Excellent response so far to the posts but we still have 3 sharks that want desperately to be shipped to their new homes today.

Hey everyone, we still have over a dozen HD Ultimate Sharks boxed and ready to ship out pending contact with their new owners. PLEASE check your emails and SPAM folders for contact. We worked very hard to get everyone their Pre-Order AND Pre-Christmas Ultimate sharks extra-extra early and they want to be in their new homes asap. Also ALL December's and January's - 3 foot sharks are in final stages and to be boxed and shipped this week >> SURPRISE! <<  Several months ago we released for Pre-Order the All New "HD Ultimate Bruce Collector's Set Shark Line" based only on descriptions and a few candid 'On the Bench' photos of our prototypes still in progress.
Our posted goals were to take our existing Ultimate Bruce Shark line and refine them to equal the revealed data from 2015's banner releases of a multitude of NEVER before seen photos of ALL the Film sharks from the franchise. WHAT A HIT! 2015 was indeed the year for everyone to ENJOY entirely NEW behind the scenes photos of Bruce, ScarFace, the Revenge shark and ESPECIALLY the incredible NEW footage of the Bruce 3D sharks! We here at Shark City Ozark would like to gratefully point out that all of this was due to good hearted fans who SHARED their finds publicly with their friends in the community rather than hoarding them. So as fans and on behalf of the fans I thank Romain Neophyte and Michael Smith and Lou Pisano for their contributions to our community. Thank you for the never before seen Bruce Shark photos guys. What a RUSH☺! Our All New High Damage + High Definition [HD] Sharks are now shipping early just as we promised so many months ago. PLEASE keep an eye out for a shipping information alert email from Cathy and make habit of checking your SPAM folders just encase. We still have a few friends that could have had their early release New Bruce Busts weeks ago if they'd only respond to our attempts to contact them. Our goal is to get ALL Due Pre-Order/Pre-Christmas Ultimate Sharks packed and processed this weekend for a Monday ship out. What a great year for our community, a banner year more than any I can recall and mostly due to the generosity of a handful of fellow fans. I wonder if 2016 can top it?!  Busy as a bee, but an Update!
Excerpt from a PM converted to a post - ENJOY >Yes, still slightly ahead of schedule here. Will post a little update later in the day but all Paid in Full pre-order & promised before Christmas 25-inch Ultimate Bruce Shark & 25-inch Ultimate Sequel sharks are almost finished and to start shipping early next week. No small feat considering this was double the Christmas rush from all previous years! This current batch of sharks will have to sit for a few days to do a little post cure type of thing on their top coatings before packing and shipping. All 3 foot Bruce Sharks are still to be finished, packed and shipped later next week as well☺! We'd LOVE to add a happy customer photo into our gallery with you guys and your new shark if you want to email one in please. Thank you so much for you order and for checking in. Merry Christmas to all, The Lord Jesus Christ is the reason for this season. To Love or to Tolerate but not to forget☺  ... But "building" towards another 2 HUGE shipments for early and late next week. As usual all is still AHEAD of schedule.
