On The Bench...
Welcome to SCO's "On The Bench" Blog!

Wow what a banner week for the Schultz family here at Shark City Ozark. I almost do not know where to begin. So much has happened and is about to happen. Let me just pour it all out instead of spending an hour polishing it all. First, the latest wave of sharks are either shipped or shipping. There are still a few awaiting contact from the soon to be owners.
If you are due a shark within the 30 to 90 day from paid in full period then please check your spam folder as we most likely have been trying to contact you.
Next, we have signed a serious contract this week. Our biggest yet. We are not allowed to divulge this latest adventure, yet, but it will involve all of us working our hardest to pull it all off. This is the biggest and best yet. So crazy that we get to be a part of these amazing adventures as a family!
Next, we have spoken to a very important person in the world of Jaws. We shared a few ideas that we have long held onto. He is very interested in our ideas and especially the methods of bringing it all about. This may be the biggest news for us fans in over 25 years. Time will tell. But remember when I dropped that little hint about ‘Bruce Lives’ before we all met together at Jawsfest 2012? That whole time I had been building the mechanical Ghost Shark for SyFy but could not officially say anything.... well it's like that. Some time will pass between this new bit of news before the occurrence, but when it does it will blow all Jaws fans minds everywhere. Seriously. And in a good way, trust me.
Next, although we are still up in the air over being provided a schedule for our next contracted SCO FX work, we have been assured that we will have adequate time to release our All New 3-Foot Bruce Shark and fill some orders. Some orders, not all.
At this time quite a few friends have written in providing their information and requesting to be placed on our mailing list for when we launch the New 3-Foot shark’s Pre-Order officially. Which to me this is astounding as we have not released any prices or photos yet!
What we will do is mass email everyone that has shared with us their interest for and info. Once we go live with the PayPal pre-order then the first possibly 25 to 35 people will be assured of getting their low edition numbered sharks most likely before Christmas. We are not sure of that run amount yet, nor the final price as we have been very busy in Skype meetings all week and not running these sharks to tally expenses and labor. But we do not want to take more orders then we can fill before a shipped by Christmas date. So if you miss out on the cut off on these low edition numbers then all we can promise is that we fully intend to run another wave of the all new 3-foot sharks in 2014 once we have fulfilled out contracted obligations for this next HUGE project.
At this time we have no way of knowing run amounts or firm dates.
I do apologize for our inability to provide full info on all that is going on right now. It’s killing me not to blab! But once again we are under contract, and it's not about us at all. Just be excited that the world of mechanical sharks and their collectibles is more alive now than it has been in 30+ years, and we are smack dab in the middle of all of it! Good times are ahead.
Shark Week may be over but Ghost Shark Airs on SyFy on the 22nd. We were not trying to compete with Jaws with it, it's just a fun ghost story with the shark as the rightful star. Enjoy it and know that EVERYONE that worked that film is a diehard fan and loved every backbreaking second of bringing it to your screen.
Have an Awesome weekend ya’ll!

Late last year we were contacted by an independent professional film company and asked if we could provide them mechanical shark special effects for their film they had contracted to a well known cable channel. Of course the answer was YES! They wanted their shark to have many strong features that would remind people of the greatest shark film of all time. We were thrilled to comply and supply, and did so. The result is “Ghost Shark” airing on SyFy August 22 this year.
While making their shark I began to really take seriously how much our personal collection of reference material for these movie sharks had grown over the last 2 years. When I first made the original 37-inch Bruce NTT back in late 2008-2009 I had only a few gigs of photo reference material to measure from, and most of these images were video screen-grabs. Still this model became an instant hit and sellout of all copies produced.
But while making this animatronic shark I realized that I now had well over 13 gigs of material to work from. That’s almost 5 times as much as 2008! No longer were there any gaps in my understanding of Bruce. No longer did I use math and angles to plot out missing body and facial features. I now enjoy an overkill of reference material for Bruce as well as all the sequel sharks. Much of this being shared and sent in from some of the biggest, and I do literally mean the very biggest names in Hollywood! What a perk, right?
This brings us to my first point for this article. Our All New, 1/8 Scale, 36-inch long Bruce Shark Replica is about to be released for Pre-Order. The accuracy and faithfulness of this model far surpasses anything I have ever built before by MANY orders of magnitude. Yes the original 2008-2011 NTT was good.
Yes, this Newest 36-inch long shark is Ten Thousand times BETTER in every way possible. I cannot lie to you, it is simply the achievement of a lifetime. It cannot be any more perfect mathematically, or in any other way that we can think to improve it. And we have tried to for months now. It is the best ever, period.
Our plans are to release this All New 36-inch shark, then continue the last 2 sequel sharks in our 25-inch long, 1/25 scale Ultimate Bruce Shark Collector’s Set. Beyond this the future is open, we feel we may move on to try other fields. We may go back into the movie FX field. We just do not know. For now we will release this shark, take some Pre-Orders then halt it when we feel we can safely fill those orders. Beyond this we have not decided our future; we do not have a set month or number of sharks to release as a goal just yet.
This brings me to the final point of this post. And that is simply, “Do Not Miss Out On This Newest Shark!”
Without fail since we sold out the original NTT sharks we still get up to 10 letters a week asking for one. Let me be very plain and kind in saying that we have gone to extremes to get these sharks to everyone serious about owning one. We even still have people paying for their original NTT’s that were supposed to be paid off years ago. If you miss getting the newest and most likely last and most perfect Bruce shark ever then you will hate yourselves. I can’t be any more honest than this. Don’t blow this upcoming opportunity.
We offer flex-pay options. Our sharks are the best out there and the most affordable. Google for one and you’ll find copy-cat’s less than half the size of our sharks for 3 times as much. I would be a fool and a liar to pretend that our sharks were not the best thing ever put out, because they are, and you still have not seen the perfection that is this newest 36-inch shark! But you will in a few short weeks, with everyone else.
So please, take us seriously. We have a perfect track record in this community with friends, fans, customers, leading film Directors and FX teams and now in our own 3 film credits. There are no excuses to miss this next shark. Our excellent reputations precede us, our prices are beyond fair for anything a fraction of what is sold by the major collectible firms.
Our quality is unmatched and our sharks, especially this newest release, simply and undeniably Awesome. Start saving even though I promise a more affordable and far more perfect shark than the original NTT. Contact us and Cathy will work out a Flex-Pay system for you. So money should not be an issue for anyone. That’s two huge roadblocks removed by this family to help you get into our newest and maybe last shark ever; that is, a lower price and Flex-Pay options.
Start getting serious now. Because once we start releasing photos and video and the Global Pre-Order on Big Bad Toys and affiliates I guarantee that we will be selling out of whatever number of sharks that we could possibly make and ship before 2014. Price, other details and edition numbers to be released soon.
This All New, 1/8 Scale, 36-inch long Bruce Shark Replica is the best. It may be the last we produce of its kind. When it is gone it is gone, and we are not guaranteeing that we will be providing these services and these sharks past 2013+ as we are being contacted to work in other fields.
Consider this Newest Bruce Shark our great thanks to our friends and customers and our intent if we do continue up the ladder to more permanent film FX work is to leave this collectible field by going out on top providing the best and most affordable that simply could not be improved upon.
Am I exaggerating at all? Photos of the prototype will be released soon and we’ll all see if I am full of hype, or full of sharing something truly awe inspiring. This family’s great thanks to all our friends and fellow fans.

Finally able to share a few more pictures!
Close to the end of the first day on stage. All planned shots completed before lunch and we are now running out the rental on the facility filming stock actions to fill in where-ever. Maybe even enough for a sequel? The Shark that could & DID! |
Adding blood right before a roll. Blood everywhere. About a gallon that day. Amazing how well organized everything was. Good times. |

Apologies are in order. We have been so busy in the shop that we have neglected our site. We are so thankful to our faithful friends that continue to check in from time to time. We are on the cusp of releasing some awesome stuff here soon! Some of this incredible material we have had to "sit on" for awhile due to red tape and release dates. Believe me, we are busting at the seems to share it!
We also want to say "Thank you!" to our customers that send in pictures and kind words about their shark orders. We are so pleased and very grateful for your positive feedback! When someone takes a moment from their busy day just to write and make sure we know their shark was received well and with great joy, it really, really makes our day!
Mike has been busy every day perfecting our latest offering to the JAWS community. Let me just say this -- it is INCREDIBLE! Now, I realize I may be faulted for being biased, but I must say here and now that I am also a JAWS fan and I do have discerning eyes as well as a great appreciation for the beast in that film ... and folks, HE's NAILED THIS BEAST! I absolutely can not wait to start taking photos and sharing them for all to see! So we ask for your continued patience just a little while longer while we cross the "T's" and dot the "Eyes"... (pun intended)... we promise to post some pictures and more info here soon!
Enjoy your Summer folks!

Hi Everyone!
It may seem like everyone keeps up on FaceBook these days, it sure does to me. But I often forget that not all of our friends do. I have been releasing lots of info there on FB that I have not taken the time to duplicate here for our blog. For this I apologize. I will try much harder from now on to keep both my SCO blog & FB platforms up to date. But shamelessly I will be sharing slightly different info on each just to keep people checking both weekly and more often. Because I do NOT want you all to miss out on what we have been up to and are releasing. So here in a nutshell is some briefing to catch you up if you missed some of the ride.
We have finished all contracted work for providing the monster villains (& heroes) to our 3rd TV Movie since June of last year. At this time we are still limited in what info and photos that we can release until the different agencies’ PR departments makes their releases official. We have simply been told in writing that at this time the films are Independent in production but contracted to a major Network soon to be revealed.
I can release that we have provided the mechanical shark star of the film "Ghost Shark". It is still due to release as soon as July of this year. And the rumors are true, our shark, as far as is known in the industry, is the first mechanical shark to NEVER hold up production due to any form of failure! In fact, most all scenes were captured in one take, and over 2 dozen previously dropped scenes were brought back in and shot once the producer and director saw our shark performing on shoot day one! In fact we finished shooting so early the first day that we ran out the rented time on the facility building up quite a library of actions for a possible and much hoped for sequel!
Since then we have provided giant alligators, baby gators, a chest-burster-type monster and a 9-foot-long Deep Sea-style monster for the same production company for other films. Down this page and on our Shark City Ozark FaceBook walls are the few behind the scenes photos we are currently permitted to release. Once given the official ad launch we are told that we will be able to share more concise info as well as chosen content from our gigs of behind-the-scenes photos & video from the different films.
In other news we have at least a 3 month vacation between films and we have decided to release another shark collectible or two. By way of thanks to all that participated we are answering the votes and gearing up to release our all new 3-foot-long Bruce Shark 2013 very soon!
Our initial Bruce NTT shark released in 2010 was an almost immediate sell out of all 75 production pieces. But as everyone knows we were dumb to limit that incredible run as even after all this time it is still our most consistently asked for release for a re-release, every single week. But we would not just re-release the NTT. That model run is closed, and to be honest we found in the years since with the release of other franchise books, videos, another Jawsfest and the new friendships of those that worked the first few movies (and some of their relatives as well) that we have nearly 5 times the reference material available to us today to update and release an all-new model. Thus the new 3-foot Bruce Shark release!
And that is what we have done. Based not on just 3GB of photo reference material but almost 14GB of material (several gigs not ever shared in this community before!) we are releasing the ALL NEW, 3-foot Bruce Shark 2013! It is awe inspiring. Truly the culmination of all the sharks that we have built so far. Never before have we been able to connect the dots in so many gray areas and build a better shark. You will not find a more accurate 1/8 scale, 3-foot long Nose-to-Tail Bruce Shark collectible on planet earth today, or anytime in the near future!
Until yesterday I resisted the urge to stand the original 2010 SCO NTT Bruce Shark next to our new 2013 model. And I again remind everyone that our New 3-Foot Bruce is an ALL NEW MODEL. At no time during the build did I want to be influenced by anything other than the original Bruce Shark. For months I have deprived myself of all other sharks. No Jaws 2 shark studies, no real Great White studies etc...
So, yesterday I put the original NTT side by side with our All New 1/8 scale, 3-foot-long Bruce Shark 2013.
It was astounding! I spent hours (11 hours) pouring back over both prototypes comparing and measuring and quintuple checking with reference footage. My findings are that in both instances I honestly did an incredible job all around. And I am not being conceited, I am stating the obvious that I would have to admit no matter who built these sharks. For what I had to work with both then and now, both sharks are INCREDIBLE to say the very least.
Yes the All New 1/8 scale, 3-foot-long Bruce Shark 2013 is far superior to the original Bruce NTT shark 2010. But what amazed me was how incredibly close I got almost everything on the original with such shoddy reference materials way back in 2007-2008 when I first started the original model. A tribute I must add to the methods by which I historically recreated our Bruce shark through meticulous measurements and scaling based on reference materials and not just preconceived notions or artistic flare.
To convey the differences honestly, as I am sure there will be plenty of collectors to get the new alongside the original, I can say a few things. First the new Bruce model is a few fractions of an inch longer, wider and taller. All major details and contours are close in respect to overall flow of the original NTT. But beyond this the All New Shark is simply an All New Shark. Its detail mesh resolution is sharper, more dense and far more accurate in every respect than anything I have done to date. It is almost like I had the original Bruce Sharks physically at hand to photo-copy and scale them 3 dimensionally for our new release!
Honestly it is because I am years older and more experienced now and my talents surely expanded due the many hundreds of sharks we have built and shipped globally for collectors these last 5 years. But also just as much of it is due to the incomparable reference materials I now have to guide me. As if Jim Beller’s Incredible new Memories of Martha’s Vineyard book and the finally released TSISW doc were not enough, I have also earned the friendships of a few people from our Jawsfest trip that were there and were privy to materials far beyond anything I ever dreamed of.
So, as we finalize the prototype, and all its pieces and parts get polished and molded, and as we finally get to releasing photos, I believe that it will become apparent to all what a great model the original NTT was, and what a better model our All New 1/8 scale, 3-foot-long Bruce Shark 2013 really is.
We are still in the process of determining what to include with the release and making great efforts to keep it affordable. We believe at this time that harpoons & wounds and at least 1 yellow barrel will be included, but no promises just yet. We have been taking professional council as well as to whether we should release simplified versions as well as more expensive and complete sets. At this time this is all we wish to say on these matters. We are open to all advice and any ideas from our friends in the community, as always.
Again, please keep checking back often for new material and info on our shark releases as well as materials having to do with our film FX titles. And if you have not bookmarked us or friended us on FaceBook then you really want to, and you most likely want to get in the habit of surfing over to our pages at least a few times each week. Things are happening fast for us right now with these new releases and movie materials and we love sharing it all with you friends.
Have an awesome day, and live it like you are running out of them!

Hi Everyone!
I am working up several new designs for a possible different stand for the all New 3ft Full Length Bruce shark 2013 [FLB BRUCE?]. Here they are:
1] One idea is a partial crushed Orca transom & deck. A basic wedge shape of boat acting as a cool display stand. Not complete or anything, that would be too large [larger than the shark] just enough to be obvious as to what it is and to support the shark. A section now, not a diorama or anything. Just a cool stand is all.
2] The other stand idea is a “wedge of mechanical arm” much like the studio tank rigging. Not the big wheel as used on location as that would be too weak and I do not wish to carve up the sharks body in order to fit on it. Just the style of mechanical rigging in the form of a display stand. I don't want to detract from the shark at all or be forced into days of my life fabricating intricate arm stands.
3] The third stand idea is the old tried and true favorite of the hand-crafted wooden display stand with all the handmade miniature goodies on it like we used for all the NTT sharks from 2009+.
4. A section of glossy black-resin water with the tip of the control arm with wheel sticking out of the surface, but the wheel would be over-thick, flat on top with a pad for the shark and solid. It would be the mech-arm in style & detail -yes, but not a perfect scale study that would distract form the shark. I know from experience that the wheel would need to be at least 3 times thicker than normal to securely hold the weight of the shark over time.
Thoughts and worries:
A] My thinking is that if it is a mech-style stand then it should be a solid gloss black resin silhouette or ghost style stand. Basically a shadowy nod at the FX without being a diorama of its own. If clear resin was cheaper then I would opt for a clear, ghost style mech display stand. But currently, clear resins are over $120/gallon + shipping and the other downside is that clear resins are much more brittle. I am trying to keep the price of these sharks much lower so more people can afford them.
B] Any mech style stand I do will be a thicker more solid piece than a scale depiction of the real mech frame-works as resin is not as strong as metal. I do not wish to compromise stand integrity for scale stand metal-work looks. In the end, we all want to trust our stands.
C] If I do a small stylized section of Orca deck I am divided on it being a solid-deep gloss black resin piece, or painted like a miniature section of boat deck.
D] Whatever the display stand I do not wish to carve up or put holes into the shark itself. I do not believe fans want a shark with a hole or flat spot in the belly - am I wrong about this?
E] Another thought is just to supply the shark alone, no stands and keep the price much lower. Will this be received poorly or is this a stupid idea or brilliant?
Please send us an email with your ideas. Your input is shaping what I release next and how.
Thank you for your time and feedback.

Another fine day in the workshop. Catching up on more shark orders & the goal is to get completely ahead of all orders so that we can release a few new shark prototypes for pre-order. We also plan to change our online catalog around some too. What a nice change of pace just to work on sharks again for awhile.
We hope you keep checking back to see what neat things we have in store for you. Still waiting to get release rights to be able to post some more photos & hopefully even a few behind the scenes clips of the last 3 films that we worked on.
We hope all of you are doing well today. Stand strong & be encouraged. Times may be harsh & bad things not even ever worried about may be happening almost weekly now; but my family & I encourage you to look forward to better days ahead.
And more awesome sharks from SCO too; which actually do make better days ahead for many people!
Have a great day/week friends, live it up like there is no tomorrow!

Hi All -- Cathy here!
It's incredible how quickly the months are flying by! Mike has been in the shop continually for about a month now. No joking, I commented to him today about how he hadn't even been out of this house for over a month! So much to do, so little time to do it. But you won't hear him complain about that. I'm amazed at how he can keep going like that sometimes until 12 or 1 in the morning and he still has a smile on his face. He's just doing what he loves! And he's happy because during these difficult economic times, he's just thankful to have work.
I want to take a moment and say "Thank you" again to you, our customers. We are still here, improving and growing because of you! Every kind email you send our way, every little post of encouragement you share on Facebook -- it's what keeps us going!
I must mention here that I made a huge mistake recently and lost our original Brucette photo files while in the process of updating our site. You may have noticed that every picture in the Brucette section of our "SCO Products" page opens as a small "thumbnail" file. I haven't had a chance to set-up another photo shoot to replace them yet so my request is this... If any of you Brucette owners have a few good shots you'd like to share with us, we'd love for you to send them in for use on the site!
Thanks again for your patience and kind words regarding our work!
All the best to you and yours,
Cathy

Our family has been working together for over a year to make this run-down farmhouse our new home.
Just an irregular small piece of property that nobody wanted with an old, abandoned farmhouse on it. Home to only critters and stripped of everything that ever had any value by vandals over the years. No utilities, no plumbing or electrical, no counters or cabinets or shelving, not even doors or trim were left behind. It was a shell at best. So, in between sharks for collectors, and sharks and other monsters for these new movies coming out we worked together, and sometimes worked apart, to make it our home.
Often times those of us that were busy making sharks lived separate from those of us making FX just to work on the house. It has been a hectic and intense year without any days off and with meeting goals and deadlines the main priority. But here we are together again. Downsized but happier.
Next come the chickens and greenhouse. We have finally achieved our goal to convert to rednecks as we joke. Country folk with slower lives, smaller green footprints, simpler needs and a much smaller budget. If we need it then we often have to make it, and then make it work. Like "Little House on the Prairie", except with power tools and WiFi...
We wish we would have done this 20 years ago instead of many of the things that we tried along the way.
As a dad I am almost speechless when it comes to the joy of seeing my family pull together and work so hard for a common goal.
We all learned new skills and all of this has drawn this extremely tight knit family even closer together than ever.
My thanks to my family for all their hard work, and to Cathy and Rachael for putting together this video. What a treat for us!

ACTION!
This is a shot during actual filming taken by our youngest daughter Rae, who also played a part in the movie as well as ran the facial features for close up shots. No flash was allowed, but this helps convey some of that rapid blur movement.
Many things were shot with rapid motion, overly lighted and at high speed to bring the 1/6 scale to a real life scale.
Here Cathy works everything from the dorsal back as I operate everything fore. In this scene *****Shark is swimming furiously readying for a power breach. The first take was all that was needed and this scene so far has made it into the film. It is impossible not to brag at all here. Out of the over 100 elements we supplied almost all were one take deals, there were ZERO breakdowns and our shark was never the cause of any delays! Did I mention that our Shark NEVER broke down and NEVER caused any retakes or delays?
Having completed supply of some props and main character monsters for their next film we are currently involved in pre-production in our third film with this production company and in talks for possibly supplying another much larger shark for another film. We will post more as we are able on these topics.
To all of our customers we wish to thank you for your patience. We are of course still making and supplying collectibles. In fact our collectibles shop is just as cluttered as our new FX shop and warehouse. Some days we build collectibles by day and work the FX by night, other days the reverse. Often our family is split between buildings and we all run back and to all day long like chickens with our heads chopped off! The main constant in our lives are 18-hour days, and still going 7 days a week.
And I must apologize to you all that we are still behind on releasing our 2013 line of sharks. Please rest assured that we are completing the Ultimate Bruce Shark Collector's set sharks as well as releasing the 1/6 scale Bust Collector's set sharks soon. We are unable to supply a release date yet as these movie schedules are constantly being changed and we are adapting to these needs many times a day. But we are still very much in the shark collectibles business, still selling many sharks and have a few collectible surprises up our sleeves to tempt everyone with a bit later. Very exciting things are in the works for you!
We thank you all for your patience and understanding with us in these delays. We very much thank you all for the kind emails and Facebook postings of support and encouragement. What a great and incredible and loving online family we have!
We really appreciate you friends and hope that we can shock and awe you all, in all the good ways, and soon, with some really cool shark offering.
Have a great day, and my encouragement to you all with this post is to pretend that you only have 1 year left to live, and start living, start REALLY living every minute of every day. Live that life, don’t just survive your days! Go & ENJOY!

Hello there!
We hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday Season!
We've been getting emails lately about our release schedule for 2013 and thought we'd address that question here. Mike is out of town (can't wait to spill the beans about why!) but he kindly typed this up for me to post.
"We will not be releasing our schedule or listing the surprises we have in store for the year as yet. This year we will be honoring the releases we spoke of last year such as continuing our 1/12 scale Ultimate Bruce Shark Collector's set, and 1/6 Scale Bust series as well as releasing some HUGE surprises along the way. This is shaping up to be the biggest year so far for SCO."
Have a great day everyone!

It's a busy time of year for everyone and Shark City Ozark is no exception! We are pleased to confirm that all shark orders placed before our Christmas cut off date will be shipped in time for Christmas! We knew it would be a challenge but it was so worth it to hear from all of the happy customers who have received and LOVE their sharks! We want to thank you all again for your patience and faith in this family. It has been a huge blessing getting to meet such awesome fellow Jaws fans!
There are just a few folks who have not sent in their shipping payments yet so we ask that all customers expecting shark deliveries to please check your emails and/or spam folders for a note from us.
Can't wait to see what the new year will bring! For now though, we will keep cherishing the awesome experience of being on a real movie set! Hope you aren't getting tired of the behind the scenes pics!

Those who have been following our Shark City Ozark FaceBook posts have just been included on our latest little secrets these last 5 months. We now have 2 film credits under our belts! And we have been jumping out of our skins wanting to brag about it all since before Jawsfest. Unfortunately we are contractually limited currently to only vague information and photos for just a little while longer.
However the express desire of the producers and directors are that Cathy and I use our sales site here and our FaceBook walls to begin to spread the excitement of what we have been working towards. After all there is never enough that can be done for sake of promotions right?
Some very fun things have been in the works all this year. Cathy and I are awaiting some final clearance to begin to share our experiences, photos and behind the scenes videos. Everything must be approved by the powers that be first though. Suffice to say that this family was given the chance to prove that we are the best at what we do. Apparently they agreed.
Our part in filming wrapped late last week and we were hand-shaked, thanked, hugged and repeatedly told that we far surpassed the entire crew’s expectations as well as those that make the big calls who we cannot brag about by name just yet.
We also provided many last second additional on-set solutions to many different gags, make-ups and gore FX, and did so without ever slowing production even once with any form of break-down. For the 157+ separate FX scenes that we were responsible for, we were ready and waiting for each, every time. Sure there were adjustments, tuning, touch-ups, and re-rigging specific things for specific gags, but we never stopped the filming process even for 2 seconds! Takes rolled into takes as we even provided variations and options. Scenes that had been passed over in pre-production for fear of complication were even resurrected once we proved how incredibly dynamic our "characters" performed and behaved!
As much as I wish to break into song and spill the beans I have to gag myself just a little while longer.
Our hope is that we receive clearance soon to begin bragging and sharing some of the Gigabytes of recorded history from these films by way of promoting these fun upcoming new movies. As soon as we are given the green light we will split the information between SCO here and our FaceBook SCO wall. Have a great day everyone!

Not long ago I Pre-Ordered a few collectible monster figures. The add was clear that they would be available to ship September and this was back in May. Late in October the add changed to November for shipping. That was 2 months later then what I was told when I paid, and poor communication. I wasn't thrilled, but that's the way this collectible's field goes. Which stinks.
Well, we at Shark City want better for our customers!
What we did for the JawsFest Sale was offer any current shark sold during that time for $100 off, but with the stipulation that we needed up to 90 or more days to fill orders instead of the usual 14 to 30 business days. After all we make absolutely everything by hand in our home-shop. Americans benefit from you ordering from us not communist China.
Still, even though we have been very clear about the extended wait times, and very open and communicative via this FaceBook and our website as well as personal emails, still we wanted better for our customers. Because waiting a long time sucks. Doesn't matter if you were told ahead of time and reminded along the way, waiting sucks. Waiting for Christmas, or waiting for Birthdays, it sucks to wait. Am I right or what?
So what we are doing to make your waits suck less is to send along a small consolation prize for ordering during the sale. Think of it as a "bribe" from us to make you a happy customer that will want to love us. After all, the happier you are with us the better the odds you may throw around a few photos and happy posts online and that might gain us some further business. And face it, the only thing keeping the lights on here at our little house is happy customers! And we sure need the business, these sharks are expensive and time-consuming to provide for you.
So, don't expect a free shark or anything absurd like that, but also do not expect a "Cracker-Jack" worthless toy either. What we will send out for those waiting nearly the full 90 days or more is a valuable Bruce Shark collectible. One that I wanted and tried to get for years from well known Jaws fans without success.
Also, we have not shipped them out yet. Maybe next week or the week after. We are pouring our entire lives, every waking moment actually into getting these shark orders filled. This is the true priority. But whether you got your shark order yet or are waiting still, the thought of getting something from us for free, something VERY cool and related to your purchase and valuable, should really make your spine tingle and make you really appreciative of our heart towards collectors, you friends and good customers.
* After all, the big collectible companies don't do this, and our little family sure as heck is not rolling in their profits for China made and boxed items; we work hard on every aspect of your order.
But the point is not about us, it's about thrilling you all. If you ordered a JawsFest shark then you have something extra coming. Something cool and valuable and collectible. It's on our dime and it's just to make you that extra bit happy with us and your personal experience with us.
Feel free to brag online if you love us like we are trying to bribe you too. We love doing this and we really want to survive these next 4 awful years even while the giants of Industry like Twinkies are swept away. We feel if we do everything we can, then maybe others will go above and beyond as well. It couldn't hurt...
Like Obi-Wan-Kenobi, you friends and customers and your repeat business and spreading the good word about Shark City Ozark, well, you really are our only hopes to stay in business. So we have invested a little above and beyond in you and your happiness[es]. Keep an eye on your mail for something a little extra from Shark City Ozark. And ENJOY!

It's like saying goodbye to an old friend.
We have been so very busy that we forgot to put up the "Sold Out" sign for the old NTT Test Blanks.
When we were new to the mass production of sharks we experimented with about 14 different resins and amounts of resins to see what worked best, what was more durable and less brittle, what took paint best, how much resin to use etc. Before that it was dinosaurs and fossil replicas and museum displays from the 90's.
We had so many parts around of the NTT that we set about selling off the "Test Blanks" to some folks who missed out on the grandeur that is/was the Original Shark City Ozark Bruce NTT. Now with all the parts sold out and the molds retired an end of an era arrives.
So long NTT, you kept us from losing our house when the layoffs began sweeping the nation 3 years ago.
What a faithful and awesome product was the Ozark Bruce NTT!

Hi Folks! Just one question .... How on earth is October more than half over!? We have steadily been working through each order as they have been placed and we wish to thank you all for your kind words and continued patience. You are a good group of people! Many of you have already received your shipping notices and we thank you for your timely payments. It is very important that these sharks are delivered as soon as notices are sent -- we are running out of table space! So keep a good eye on your email inboxes (and spam folder!), your shark may be on the way next! As always, if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us directly. Have a great weekend! Mike and Cathy Schultz SCO |

Hi everyone,
We are sorry for the lack of updates for the last few weeks. We have been one busy shark making family!
I am so glad that I warned everyone ahead of time that we would need much longer than usual to meet all the orders for the JawsFest month special. I wish I could post that we are well ahead of schedule, but we are not. It has been 7 days a week here and we still have over 50 sharks to make and ship. That is a serious amount of labor.
I write this update to thank everyone for their business and for their patience with us. There is always give and take, and in order to not get Walmart quality and speed of ownership the 'take' is time and labor. We thank you all for patiently giving us the extra time to make your sharks worth the wait. Most will own them for life once they get them, and most have written us that their shark is now the prize of their collection. We tend to make things worth the wait around here.
Typical build times were once posted at 30 days minimum. We were able to decrease that wait period early in the year by stream-lining many facets of our little home-factory assembly line. But then we got enormously busy with supplying Big Bad Toy Store and quite a few of their oriental outlets. With the onset of the Jaws Fest 2012 special we knew that we would get swamped with orders. Seriously, $100 off any SCO shark? Yep, through the roof order counts. Many people ordered more than one shark too. It has been a labor of love, with empasis on that labor part.
Just prior to mid Jawsfest we had to announce up to a 90 day build and ship time due to even our expectations being blown away. And as I said earlier, I wish I could say that we are shipping the last few sharks out, but we still have lots to make.
Rest assured, everyone gets their shark! And they get them soon. Especially with only a few more than 50 left to go.
So we wanted to post this update to assure those still waiting, to thank everyone for waiting, and to thank everyone for their patience and their many kind emails of encouragment and support while they wait! How cool is that for so many people to be so kind while they wait? Jaws fans, we are a special breed, and a fan family if ever there was one.
Thank you all.

OK Jaws family it's like this:
So many people have already contacted us asking us to please extend the sale to them a little longer that we feel we should do a few things:
First, publicly admit that we are already working with a bunch of people like this.
Secondly, we need to be fair and do the same for everyone if we do it for a few. Am I right?
The main excuse has been that many saw our sharks at Jawsfest but because of the expense of travel and other infamous expenses, they could not participate in our sale in time. Others are simply suffering the current economic slump we find ourselves in.
We think we are doing a good thing for good reasons for good people. If you disagree, please contact us. We have been known to be fair to a fault.
Also note that if you do place an order, please understand that we are currently swamped in supplying the demand. The waiting period has been extended to 30 to 90 days for shipping a paid in full order. For those on Flex-Pay, no worries. We do not feel it will take this long, but we do need to come up for air occasionally...
As always contact us if you have any concerns. We talk to people.
Have a great and safe Labor Day weekend!

April 8, 2012 was a Sunday. I love Sundays. And this one had a really awesome spin on it. We were just finishing up dinner and getting ready to head out for a walk when the phone rang. Odd for that time of day. The readout showed California, so it could have been Mr. Alves or someone else very special. So Samuel answered and low and behold it was Greg Nicotero asking for me! Pretty exciting stuff. Up to this point we had only been emailing and swapping information, photos and research.
I hate spoilers, so this account has to be a great deal shorter and far less detailed then I would like it to be. In fact, this will have to be downright skeletal to be able to respect the sheer number of, and largeness of what Mr. Nicotero is working on not only for this event, but for those events down the road.
Suffice to say that the dream to reproduce Bruce full length is well underway. It was the reason for his calling me. Small-talk aside he came right out and asked me if I would mind if he scanned my well-known 36-inch Nose-to-Tail Bruce shark. Not only is he one of my happiest customers, he commissioned us to build him one of the most detailed floating Bruce Shark cradle-Dry docks that we had built up to that point to display it in. Mr. Nicotero loves our NTT so much he has modeled a variation of it, the much heftier Tow-Sled version. Very good likeness and flattering for our NTT Shark to say the least!
To get more to the point of this account we talked at length about the many ways to make/remake Bruce full scale today. Junkyard Bruce is still out of the game as the owner is adamant about keeping it and still won’t even allow a walking scan of it either. So Greg asked me point blank, “Is it okay with you if I scan your shark and use it to make my full-scale Bruce?”
You have to understand that this is my only current means of providing financially for my family in this dearth of an economy.
I worry about a scan or recasting making its way out some back door and onto the streets no matter how good and well meaning the owner is. It would ruin us quick as a flash.
But I offered Mr. Nicotero better, my all-new 1/12 scale, 25-inch long Ultimate Bruce Shark prototype. He viewed and loved our catalog photos of it! How could you not? So I agreed to send him out the prototype for the best scan possible. Sent it to him overnight that very next morning in fact. No signed contract, not even a handshake. Just me trusting him to do right by our little family. Pure “oldschool”.
This is an enormous leap of faith for me. Because honestly, I really do not know Mr. Nicotero beyond casual email and phone conversations. Anything could happen in today’s world, and this family has been both well Blessed by, but also mistreated by well known personalities, and even family before. But we rolled the dice. After all, the reward for working for someone such as Mr. Nicotero is worth it!
Everyone will love what he has done for this year’s JawsFest. As for making a full-length Bruce based on Mr. Nicotero’s laser-scans of my Ultimate Bruce; well, not this year at least. He has written me about the complexities involved in doing one. This I know myself from experience having made the giant full-scale T-Rex dinosaur display in Pensacola Florida prior to 9/11. Big things take big time, big resources and in-depth planning. My 1:1 T-Rex took me almost 5 months alone to deliver. But, if anyone can do it right -- he can.
And someday soon I believe Mr. Nicotero will awe the entire Jaws fan community with his 1:1 full-length Bruce reconstruction, based on my Ultimate Bruce scans. That’s a day worth looking forward too.
Greg will be at Jawsfest this year -- meet with him and encourage him to achieve that Bruce Shark goal of his.
And just you wait and see what he’s built for you this year alone....... Incredible!

We are thrilled, giddy, happy and very well pleased with ourselves this very fine summer day to report to you all that we are now 100% caught up on ALL currently paid in full shark orders! In the last 6 months we have well-pleased hundreds of shark fans with what they describe as their newest and most cherished collectible[s]. In fact, we have boxes of sharks just sitting around stacked up and awaiting shipping payments so they can start their journey to their rightful owners.
The Schultz family is now going to take some time and invest it into a certain thing that we cannot tell you about just yet.
But when we release the info we are pretty sure that most all of you will be excited about what we have been working towards these last 4 1/2 months. And man, do I ever mean working hard on too...
In other news the other ginormeous project that we have been involved in during this time may be revealed sooner than we thought. We will let that person have the honors in doing so. Everything in its own good time. It's all good stuff.
Thank you for your patience, MANY kindnesses and support. Viva La` Jaws Fan Family!!
Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Hi Everyone!
Just a brief update for those that don’t frequent our Facebook pages often.
First we must apologize for our first ever delay in the release of a shark. After releasing 8 sharks now, all in an average of 30 days earlier than advertised, we have now been delayed several weeks in releasing shark #2 of the Ultimate Bruce Shark Collectors Set 2012. We are sorry.
Our excuses are a combination of little things, but all are worthy of the delay. From great, new behind-the-scenes materials being released recently on Facebook of the Fidel Shark, to me lopping off the side of my right hand (and then slicing my pointer finger on my left hand to the bone the following week...); everything has added up to this minor delay. But the final prototype is curing its final layers of protective coatings and soon to be molded. Also, due to the new reference materials, it is far more accurate and dynamic than ever before -- Just wait until you see the Pre-Order release photos!
We have been “in the weeds and up to our necks” in filling orders lately. Business is good. We thought firing that false identity fred stine was great for business, but whoa! -- then we signed on with Big Bad Toy Store and off we shot like a rocket. We are finally catching up on wave #14 of major shipments and actually ahead on many individual shark orders about to go paid in full.
This, as part of our new system to vastly reduce customer wait times for their custom sharks once they are paid in full.
We also apologize to the fan community for the setback in prosecuting the man behind the false identity of fred stine of operation orca. As most of you know we filed the police report for attempted fraud and his other alleged crimes against us late last year. Although the Ozark Police Captain himself, and our D.A. completely agree with our stack of public domain evidences that stine was clearly soliciting monies for my products illegally, there simply is nothing past our proving his intent to commit these crimes of attempted fraud unless one of you steps up and forwards us further proof that he actually took your money for one of my products.
In other words he broke the law setting up phony sales sites [criminal intent, not a civil issue], but this is not punishable for actual internet fraud unless we can show that he took someone's money. We ask one of you who sent him a check or that has a receipt from him to contact us so that we may move forward. We have everything else needed to prosecute him to the full extent of the law otherwise. Please help us do so.
We have done what we could in accordance with the law in relation to his many wrongful actions committed against us and the fan community in his 8-month series of revenge rages. Everything else beyond us shutting down his 7 fraudulent and libelous sales sites, forums and blogs becomes only civil issues handled through lawsuits and not criminally.
Lastly, we invite you to keep up to date with us and our goofiness[es] on our FaceBook pages here and here.

Hi Everyone,
We just wanted to make it known that we will soon be updating our site and changing out many of the pre-order shark product photos with the new photos of the actual production pieces. Also, once we start shipping sharks out we of course will move items that once were pre-order to their rightful place on our products page. Then in turn we will update the pre-order page with the newer items.
We also want to thank you all for your kind support of our family. We truly appreciate the emails and calls. It's been great to fellowship with many of you on our FaceBook pages as well.
2012 is really turning out to be an incredible year, just as we had hoped. Big things are inbound. We have some new sharks to release soon for pre-Order. Don’t forget our 2 New Collector’s Sets: The next 1/12 scale, 25-inch Collector’s Set Ultimate Brucette [Bruce 2] Shark is releasing soon, as well as the Giant New 1/6 scale Brucette [or Bruce 2/Harold] End Scenes Battle Bust! Can’t wait for those to be in production! Should the interest continue to increase with the release of this next 1/6 Brucette Bust then we will continue its set with a Bruce 3D bust as well. That’s allot of sharks to release, aint it?
Also, we would like to remind everyone that we actually make each and every shark by hand here in our own workshop. Our production numbers have sky-rocketed this year. And even though we make more sharks per week now than we used to be able to in 3 to 4 months time, we are getting far more orders.
This is a win-win for all of us because it means more future shark releases for everyone. But it also means that we cannot start making your shark until you order it, and that those who paid in full before you get theirs made and shipped first.
Now, waiting times have decreased substantially, but it still often takes from 3 to 8 weeks at times to fill orders. We care more about the quality and future of your sharks then we do about pumping out large quantities. 8 out of 10 sharks do ship much more quickly, but we will ship no shark before its time...
So rest assured, those who order their sharks and pay them off always get them built and shipped ASAP.
We have yet to fail one single customer, as can be seen from our Happy Customer Feedback page here and the incredibly lively and friendly testimonies and feedback comments that we receive on our FaceBook pages throughout the week.
Have a great day everyone!

Hi Everyone!
And now for the much anticipated (by us) SURPRISE!
After many months of searching, calls, meetings and disappointments, we found a way to UPGRADE the FREE stands that we are including with our 2012 line of sharks! In all of our prototype photos our sharks are seen sitting on a plain and simple black wooden stand. However; we have finally found just the right people to manufacture for us these ALL NEW Clear Acrylic Stands. They do cost us much more, but they are “must haves” and so worth the extra money. They look absolutely outstanding!
These new Free stands will ship with the shark. They are not dummy proof, but they are dummy resistant in that they are 4 pegs and a base with 4 holes. So, we think that there should be zero problems with the basic “some assembly required”. Plus, they will ship flat, allowing us to ship in smaller boxes and thus saving you more money!
Some may wish to use super-glue to lock in the pegs, but we had the manufacturer mill the holes just a touch oversized so that there would be no problems for you to disassemble your stands in the future if need be.
There it is.
I may have had the initial idea to upgrade the stands, but it was Cathy who spent weeks worth of time on the web, the email, the phone and driving around and solving all the logistics. Anything worth doing takes the effort and costs more, and these sure do; but we are highly confident that you will be VERY pleased when you get your sharks and set them up for the first time. Our first goal is knocking your socks off. We think that this is just the right compliment in stand for these incredible shark displays. ENJOY!
Have a GREAT weekend friends!

Hi Everyone!
Where the heck have we been?
Making sharks!
Making more sharks than we ever have at one time too! But we are still active with our friends on FaceBook nearly every day
here and here.
We have a HUGE bonus surprise to release, maybe this week. When it happens we will release it here first, then on FaceBook.
It only affects you if you like Jaws and have ordered from us, or will be ordering from us in the future.
Also, we are only a few weeks away from releasing the prototype photos of the ALL NEW 25-inch long, 1/12 Scale Ultimate Brucette Shark, which as you know is the 2nd shark to be released in our 2012 line of sharks for the Ultimate Bruce Shark Collectors Set.
We told you all that we were going to start the year off with a Huge bang. But you ain't seen nothing yet.
We make sharks, lots and lots of different kinds of sharks. More than anyone in the whole world.
Have a great day, and keep checking back with us as you can. We'll try to have new stuff added all over the place to reward your patience.

Guess where Mike is..... Yup, in the shop! I thought I'd write a quick "Hi" and let you all know how excited we are about the kind reception of our 2012 line! We are thrilled to bring these new sculpts to you faithful fellow fin-fans (the 4 f's..)! We have many little surprises to share as they become reality. We are taking a trip out later today to see if something we've been planning will work with what we want for our new shark-line or not. We're always looking for ways to knock your socks off and improve upon what you've ordered. Also, we want to share that once again we are well ahead of schedule, so some of you should be prepared to start receiving shipping notices soon!

As we announced late last year, our new Ultimate Bruce Shark Collector's set is due to be launched here on SCO next week!
We are proud to share that we are over one full month ahead of schedule! We will begin by opening our all new "Pre-Order" page then, and also release info and photos of at least 3 of our newest SCO Shark products. There will be much more to come throughout the year as well. We remind folks that we have a ton of prototypes already finished and awaiting their day in the spotlight, as well as nearly 3 times as many in various stages of development too!
Also, we will continue our Flex-Pay customer service, but we will have to model our service more strictly after what the pro's do, like Side-Show etc.. We have a handful of people skipping weeks and sadly even months of payments. We do ask those folks that Cathy has been patiently trying to work with to return the courtesy and professionalism that we have been practicing with everyone. For the vast majority who have worked above and beyond with us we thank you dearly for making our business that much more a joy to manage. We understand that these are tough times for everyone; we feel the pressure as well.
We do wish to remind everyone here again that even though it has already been advertised for 10 full days both here and on our Facebook pages, we do publish once again for the sake of staving off rumors from Fred-Orca-Stine that we are moving our SCO page titled, “Our fight for Justice” off of this SCO site and onto our “Of Sharks and Men” Evidence Blog next week. We will in effect be replacing the “Fight for Justice” page here with our all new "Pre-Order" page at that time next week.
We again thank everyone for their great patience and endless support during 2010-2011 and as we grow as a family and as a business. We aim to make the trials of 2011 a distant memory with the awe inspiring shark product releases of 2012, so keep checking back with us here at SCO and on our Facebook pages here and here!

Hi there!
This is Cathy! Mike is busy in the shop retooling and working over these new molds trying his best to make things better and more cost effective. Several new materials have become available this year so he spends a great deal of time researching and experimenting to find the absolute best product to make these incredible sculptures. It takes a great deal of work to bring these sharks to a finished product. Also, I must say with some bias that Mike is incredibly talented at pulling things together from scratch. He even makes most of his sculpting tools and casting rigs from scratch. (Not a lot gets thrown out around here.)
We are all so excited for the many opportunities that 2012 will bring! We've got tons to consider, of course, and a lot of decisions to make about boxes, packing, shipping and of course pricing these beasts. But we feel that every one of you will be pleased ... scratch that -- THRILLED at what you'll see coming from Shark City Ozark here starting in the next few weeks. It ought to be illegal to have this much fun and still call it work! We love that iconic monster "Bruce" and we are overjoyed to be able to bring him to life in these sculptures. It'll take us a while to get the new "Pre-Order" page up and ready, but we promise not to keep you in the dark. Keep checking back often for updates!

Hi there!
This is Cathy. I just wanted to take a moment and reflect a bit on 2011. As we look back on this past year we feel incredibly thankful for the many friends we’ve met and the excellent opportunities that have come our way. We've faced some definite challenges over the year, but it’s helped us to grow as a family and as a business. It has also shown us just how supportive and encouraging the Jaws community can be! We are thankful to each and every one of you who have sent along words of encouragement, you have no idea how they spur us on to do bigger and better things for you in return.
Mike is busy in the shop even right now making changes and improvements to our latest line of sharks. He’s taking your comments and suggestions and implementing them along with his talent into beautiful beasts that I personally believe are going to knock your socks off!
On behalf of the entire Schultz Family, we want to thank you and wish you all a Healthy and Happy 2012!
God Bless!

*** 37.25 Inch The Killer Shark and 1:12 Scale 25 Inch Ultimate Bruce WIP! ***
12-19-2011
Hi Everyone!
Yes, it is true; we have closed the runs for the 1/6 Bruce Bust and The Open Sided Shark, just as we have been advertising we would since early November. Several people jumped in under the wire thanks to our Flex-Pay system. And before you ask, Yes Jim, I am reserving you one as you requested in October. It's the least I could do for a good friend.
The Mako and the few remaining 37-inch NTT Bruce Test blanks are still up for sale, as well as a few accessories as well. One NTT Test Blank that we had on Ebay (Ultra detailed Dry-Dock Display) for advertising is up for sale still to whoever wishes to spring for the most detailed Bruce NTT in Dry-Dock miniature that we have ever built yet.
Otherwise, thus ends the product runs for 2011. Let their value's rise further!
Now, this means that the owners of the NTG Bruce Busts, and Open Sided Sharks get to watch their values steadily increase. In fact, some of you have watched an OSS and an NTG go on Ebay for more than I sold them for originally at their introductory prices!
Where this leaves us is that those of you who have been making the Flex-Payments, your sharks are already cast. I cannot take the time to finish them all right now, but will polish off each shark's finishing details as you in turn finish your payments.
We will be adding a Pre-Order section here to SCO very soon. Quarter 1 will see the release of the first shark in the ALL NEW Ultimate Bruce Shark Collector's Set 2012, which if you have been on our “Mike V. Schultz” or “Shark City Ozark” Facebook pages, you already know is the first scale Shark we are releasing. By the way, add us as a friend or “Like” us on Facebook, it’s fun!
Following its release will be a same scale Sequel Shark matching its own quarter for all of 2012. The size is 25-inches Nose to Tail, placing these Sharks at a Whopping 1/12 scale! A massive display size, but not the massive freight charges many original NTT owners had to pay for their shipping. I took the original prototype, sliced it up and reposed it into Bruce's trademark cruising pose a few nights ago. This Big 25-inch Bruce Shark is VERY dynamic in look and pose, and is based on the pristine and brand new, just built Bruce Shark before it was dumped in the ocean and damaged and distorted.
We are also releasing the 37 1/4-inch “Killer Shark” as seen here and on Facebook as well very soon.
We have other products to name and place up for pre-order, but first things first. We are going to make it through the holidays. Plus, none of us have enjoyed as much as one single full day off together in 7 months to just goof around and be a family. So we are going to take a little R&R time somewhere in all this too, and just relax.
When you have a chance, check back in with us and we will catch everyone up with all the BIG happenings. There is so much more going on than we can share at the moment. A HUGE thank you to all that continue to stick by us and care about us.
You guys are awesome!
Have a GREATer DAY!

Hi Everyone!
Thank you for your patience and VERY kind emails and posts during our time of loss. It is true that you just never know what a day may bring. I learned this myself a few years ago in the back of an ambulance. For those of you that don't know it yet; I am a living real life Zombie. Yep, dead as a doornail on five separate occasions. Amazing how important normal electrical activity in that ole heart can be. One misdiagnoses by a doctor, one prescription that does not agree with you and both add up to losing your life. Over, and over, and over, and over and over....
Life still is not the same either. The point is that one day can bring riches or rags, happiness or horror.
You can read about this sort of thing. You can watch shows about it happening to others. Maybe even a motivational speaker can stir you up for a few days; but I guarantee that if you ever go through it, then you will never just sleepwalk through life again.
Sadly most people do. I know that I did.
But now I know to literally force everything I want out of every single day. I do not stop for the day anymore until I am damned ready to let it go. I don't let opportunities slip by either. And I hope this little rant and share of mine lasts for all of you, my friends, for at least the holidays. My gift to you is a reminder to really look around you. Really go out of your way -- much, MUCH further out of your way then you are comfortable with for those around you. After you go that extra mile, then keep going. Push yourselves and force every last drop of joy and life out of each waking moment that The Lord gives you. Do like the songs sing about, and live each day as if you were truly almost out of them. I have been doing so for 2 1/2 years. Most doctors gave me about 2 years, so I am 6 months up, or down depending on how you look at it. But it is not up to the doctors.
So I practice what I preach my friends. And I care enough for all of you to pass on this thing because it REALLY HAS MADE MY LIFE RICHER! I pray that each of you have a safe and good memory-filled Holiday. Make it extra, Extra, EXTRA special this year.
Thank you,
Mike Schultz SCO

Hi Everyone!,
Today we are grateful for another good review and friend in the fan community; Titans Terrors & Toys. The article is written by Tim Mitchell and can be found here:
http://titansterrorstoys.blogspot.com/2011/12/two-new-jaws-mechanical-shark-replicas.html
I must say that I am very pleased with the article. But I want to especially brag on Mr. Mitchell himself for his VERY professional conduct in how he contacted us and worked with us for this article. He went well above and beyond in every way. What passes for professional journalism could surely use ten thousand more like Tim!
And, it is sad that Universal is removing the Jaws ride. My wife and I had our very first date at that theme park over 20 years ago! I am still sad that the first ride shark there in Orlando was shut down and removed, as well as Kong. Now that original shark was, in my opinion, the absolute best looking and best animated ride shark ever!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AKeqAMulvQ
I had a chance to walk around that particular shark before the pond was filled, and I was honestly in awe of the sculpt. It would be nice to find out where the molds went, and that shark. I hope this re-kindles the community to rally behind West and Mr. Nicotero to “Save Junkyard Bruce“, before it too is lost like the Orca's and everything else Jaws related has been.

Hi Everyone!,
We just wanted to thank you all for such encouragements and success this year.
Our Bruce Bust and Open Sided Shark runs turned out to be bigger hits than we anticipated and we wanted to thank the community for making things works so smoothly, especially these last few months.
This may sound like an odd statement, but because we have done so well with these last 2 shark runs, we have decided to close them down in two weeks. It's basically all about the numbers is all. We simply have too many shark prototypes about to come out for Pre-Order next year for sale to be able to assure anyone that we would be able to cast, paint and deliver any new Bust or Open Sided Shark's before Christmas unless they ordered within the next week at the VERY latest.
Therefore, since we do not wish to carry these lines into 2012 they will be discontinued on Friday, the 16th of this month, effectively ending the production runs and ordering process for the 1/6 Bruce Bust, and the 18-Inch Open Sided Shark.
This does not guarantee that if you order before the 16th that I can, beyond a shadow of a doubt deliver your shark before Christmas. We are only human, and can only do so much. But if you did want to order one of these pieces then your last chance to do so would be before the 16th. I remind you all that our Flex-Pay is always a great option to secure a shark before its too late.
We still cannot believe it is December already, let alone at the tail end of 2 more shark production runs. So very much can happen in the matter of a few months. It still amazes us how many sharks per week we have been able to deliver with our newly overhauled assembly line. Not to brag, but what once took us weeks to accomplish is now accomplished within the space of one single day. Our shipping days used to be dates aimed for on the monthly calendar, and now they are Monday, Wednesday and Friday!
Anyway, we have an extremely full day ahead of us, and we just wanted to give everyone due notice of these ending production runs ahead of time. Remember, it is better for you the collector if I only made a few hundred or less as opposed to several thousand. Your sharks value will raise far faster after the 16th.
It has been a pleasure to work with these molds with my family and to makes these sharks for you all. It honestly and truly has and we as a family thank you all.
But wait!
Just wait until you all see what Shark City Ozark is bringing to you for 2012! It will be our biggest year yet, of that there is no doubt.
Thank you all and make it a truly GREAT day for yourselves and your loved ones,

Introducing, The Killer Shark Yet another SCO exclusive shark product.
The Killer Shark is based on the many brief inter-cut scenes of real Great White Sharks filmed for the franchise movies. Only 3 weeks into production it still needs a ton of work. But that raw shape and those unmistakable curves are already, KILLER!
The Killer shark is a little over 3 feet long. It is a fine blend of about 80% Real Great White Shark + 15% Bruce + 5% Artistic License. Further information will be released soon.
Remember, The Killer Shark, NTT Bruce Shark, NTG Bruce Bust, OSS Shark, and the DBS Mako are all absolutely exclusive to this SCO site only. Nobody has our permission to recast or elicit funds for our products and are certainly not allowed to recast them or claim creative rights for them.
If you have been contacted by anyone claiming anything different, please email us here at SCO as we have criminal charges currently filed and active for one such person who has attempted fraud, and whose websites we permanently shut down over the holidays. We defend our customers, and we defend our products and family business.
If you are not dealing with one of us Schultz's, then you are not dealing with sharkcityozark.com.

Hi Everyone,
First, all sharks shipped the last few weeks have once again arrived and so far the reports are all ecstatically pleased customers, yaaay! Check out our “Feedback” page for cool pictures in our “Happy Customer Gallery”. Check back regularly, there are more to come!
Next I would like to report that my work on these prototypes for next year's Ultimate Bruce Shark NTT Collector's Set has once again stayed well ahead of schedule.
Unlike another nut pretending to copy-cat my efforts on the basis of revenge, or another sad attempt at a 'Daffy-Duck share in the spot light', we actually have AWESOME prototypes that are nearing completion in 'real physical reality' --still for release starting in 2012. .. .. 'WABBIT SEASON!'
I have spent the last few days working on an entirely new set of prototypes that are Tip-Top secret. Currently I have an insane number of completed things that I should get to molding and releasing here on SCO. But, I fear that if I flood the market then I most likely would shoot myself in the foot financially. I think the wisest thing for all of us is for me to put out a handful of collectibles at a time and let them have their day in the sun. Then, as we have in the past, close the runs and release the next awesome product(s). Speaking of which you are all duly warned that I plan on closing the 1/6 Bruce Bust and the 18-inch Open Sided Shark runs shortly. So please order while you can.
Now, if you should disagree, please drop me a note here with what you think is a better way, and we will DEFINITELY consider your share of wisdom. Because we are all about doing things the way that you guys want them done. You say that you want a larger Bruce for a wall mount and I respond with the gigantic 1/6 Bruce Busts. A win-win for sure for us all!! I know that if I do what you guys want, then I can continue to hide in my shop and make cool things. So, it works best for you all to pull forward to the speaker and place your order.
I received several emails requesting that I continue the HUGE 1/6 scale Busts with the other sequel sharks, and BAM! That's what I am doing for you for 2012. Yup, Brucette is coming out as a 1/6 Bust in 2012, AND also as a different scale Brucette NTT in the second Quarter for the Ultimate Bruce Shark NTT Collector's Set. So now, 2012 will be the year that we put out 2 Separate Collector's Sets, the Ultimate NTT's Set and the 1/6 Sequel Shark Busts Set.
The Open Sided Shark was based on ideas directly requested by fans to me. Brucette is another fan request, and recently the idea of doing these collectors sets also based on multiple requests from last year. Even the slightly smaller scale of the NTT sharks for my Ultimate Set is by fan request, as well as to make shipping a far more sane expense.
So, Email us. Tell us what you want. Tell us what you don't like. Tell us what you think about what little info I have shared about our 2012 line-up. Just please feel free to speak up. I already know that you guys are split over the simple wooden display stand for the Open Sided Shark. Half accept the use of a basic wooden stand, half want something more complex.
But, now I know this; where as beforehand I felt that if simple wooden stands were fine for Award Winning Modelers at National Level Contests, then they were good for my humble works too. Now I know that at least half of fans would like something more movie themed. You betcha. We think the stands for the Ultimate Collector's Sets will please the greatest percentage of fans, that's for sure.
OK, so what do we take away from this Blog?
Drop me a brief email here and tell me what you think, like, dislike and want in the future. Give me some ideas for new displays, or even stands. Critique my work and methods. John Chu recently gave me a lot to think about, and some of his ideas have made me change some things for next years releases! Feel the power people, drop me a note and we'll have a go at what you think.
Deal?
Thank you everyone for your time and passion in this community,
Mike Schultz

Hi Everyone,
Let's dive right in:
For almost 30 years there was nothing beyond Stucky's rubber toy sharks, and now I am turning out as many different Bruce and sequel Shark ideas as I can think of. Nature abhors a vacuum and so does a fan who has been cheated of collectibles for 3 decades! So, if they can have 20 different Ironman toys with every film; then so can we with Bruce the Shark!
I know that people tend to purchase the latest iPhone every 6 months, and PC, and game console, etc..... But I feel I should make clear that I am not making a better 1/8 NTT than what you brave and very rewarded 75 NTT owners already own.
You STILL have the VERY BEST 1/8 scale Bruce Shark NTT based on the Third Act Right Sided Platform Bruce that has ever been made. So, get mad at whoever claims that your 1 of 75 NTT is not the best that there is. You can rightfully expose that person as a Fraud and a Liar!
Yes, it is true that we believe we have suffered a 'veiled' threat against us by a mysterious 'stage-name-only type' to recast or resize my creation, the NTT, and release it late next summer. Does anyone else in the community want to invest in some false identity admittedly operating out of a 3rd world country?
Do the original 75 NTT owners appreciate this attack on their investment? Not at all from what we have heard. Re-casters are criminals and are not appreciated nor respected by any group of valid collectors.
Also, Cathy and I wanted to be clear that the Bruce NTT 2.0 is NOT AN IMPROVED NTT ORIGINAL.
The Bruce Shark NTT 2.0 is a completely different Shark Model in size and in every detail.
NTT 2.0 is based on the PRISTINE and CLEAN and Brand New Location Filming Shark City version of Bruce before he was ever dipped into the water and location tested. In fact the entire Ultimate Bruce Shark NTT Collector's Set will be its own new scale.
The Ultimate Bruce Shark NTT 2.0 is a different collectible in a different Scale, of a different Bruce Shark, and from a Different period in the Filming.
No water-logging damage, no sags and bulges from the urethane skin being worn out, no tears, no bloated and over-soaked under-padding. The mouth, neck and jowls won't be puffy and distorted like the later shooting Shark, the eye cut outs more shapely and shark-like instead of perfect orbs etc..
All the features are tighter, more muscular looking and sleek. The Untested Bruce looks far more like a real White Shark in every way, it is even slimmer!
I also plan in the future to release a Sea Sled Tow Bruce as well as to continue the line of HUGE 1/6 Bruce Busts into a complete set from the 4 total sharks from the series with the second film's Brucette being next!
We are full of merchandise ideas and prototypes for our friends and fellow collectors. Again, if Comic fans can have 20 different Spiderman Toys for each sequel, then Jaws fans should be able to at least match that.
And, on a happy note, unlike Spiderman toys, I promise to never put Bruce on a 'Shark motorcycle'....Because really, why in the world would Spiderman or Ironman ever need a motorcycle?
Remember, Sharkcityozark is completely 100% family owned and operated, if you are not dealing with one of us six Schultz’s, then you are not dealing with SharkCityOzark.

Hi Everyone!
Well, another HUGE ship day coming up first of the week!
We are both relieved and thrilled to be so close to being caught up. What a busy year!
Let me try to get you in my head so that you can appreciate it from my point of view:
About a year ago or so I am wondering how in the world I can possibly make 75 HUGE NTT Bruce Shark Displays including all that ships with them in only a year's time. Imagine that you are a model maker and that you have a very detailed kit to make. Most kit builders will spend a few months on a kit half as complex as our SCO NTT Shark. This is normal fun and a pretty healthy amount of time needed to build anything of good size or detail.
But imagine that you are not only responsible for the building of the kit, but also the actual forming of each and every piece!
Now imagine that you have not just one kit to manufacture then build, but also its display stand and accessories!
If you want to relate even closer than that just go to Lowe's or Home Depot's lumber department and look around. Then walk to the hardware department and realize that you are looking at all the components needed to make those display stands and accessories from scratch; all scattered over a huge 'big-box' department store in their raw states only!
Yep, it certainly makes for an interesting life; and it sure has been such at that.
And we are so addicted to it that we are coming around again to sink a second barrel into its back, and chase 'er down in 2012!
In fact, this coming year we aim to make it our biggest and best ever!
We found ways to survive while spending less money and seriously trimmed our survival budget. We have been secretly and quietly building multiple prototypes and fulfilling plans conceived and developed for over 10 months now. The charts show increase while the debt of sharks that we owe our friends and customers has slowly lowered. We are almost there.
This family owes its very existence to you friends and fans that have discovered us and stuck by us. We as a family thank you all for your continued support and endless encouragements. Thank you all for your kind comments and helpful critiques too. We want to be what it is that you want us to be for you.
The more you help, the more we will be able to satisfy your wants. It is not, nor has it been easy, but we are still keeping to all our promises and pipe-dreams, and we are still full of surprises. We are finding ways to get you more shark(s) for the same or less money. Stick with us, we think that SCO and 2012 are going to be some of the few extraordinary Blessings that any will be able to find in the coming year.

Hi Everyone!
For today's Blog update we just wanted to share some enjoyable news with you.
Above is one of our site statistic charts that just came out this week. Stat’s don’t lie and it is evident that ours have taken a major positive jump for us! As you can see we have been gaining in popularity, especially since late August.
It’s almost like the entire site was reborn and got a second chance starting late that special month!
As can be seen, we are just starting out in November and even its stats are already beating out some previous months. We are at the very tail end of fulfilling our original NTT run. Not to mention topping off all the paid in full 1:6 Bruce Busts and 18-inch OSS orders too. Yet we are still much more active and prosperous than ever before in the year.
What a great year it has been for my family. We sure thank our friends/customers.
It is all you good friends and fellow fans that keeps us going and makes this more than a past-time, and more than just a hobby.
This is a downright, surefire passion.
We, as a family, are looking forward to 2012 to make it the absolute best for you folks.
2012, it will be the year that we 'Git-er-Done' the way it needs doin’, the whole year through! Our site has improved, it has never been easier to order, and the brand new "Ultimate Bruce NTT's Collector's Set" is coming -- what could be better?!
The rewards are always in the thrilled feedback for me. Please feel free to send us more happy comments and photos with you and your SCO sharks and we'll post them up on our feedback page.
Thank you my friends. 2012 is going to be even bigger and better!

Hi Everyone!
The photo is the front half of our current assembly line. We have just sent out a pretty good number of shipping notices, so keep checking your emails please. Once they are completed we would like to be able to ship these Open Sided Sharks and 1/6 Bruce Busts to their new owners next week. I believe that we are still wanting to ship out something like 4 NTT's as well.
Check with Cathy if you have Paid in Full recently and want your shark shipped next week.
We will have the New Section of our site active soon titled, 'Coming Soon/Pre-Orders'.
We will be kicking it off with more official information about our All New Ultimate Bruce Shark NTT Collector's Sets that will start shipping the first quarter of 2012.
We have received quite a few emails with questions about the set. I am sorry if you have asked things that I have not answered personally yet. We are still also working on some of the other products that we listed for release next year as well like the All New and Huge 1/6 Brucette Bust. When we can settle some of the issues we are working on now, and make a few more decisions then we will release a statement on our 'Coming Soon Page'.
We also hope to have a little something special for our new Blog Post for Halloween, so feel free to check back before you head out Trick or Treating...
We thank you again for you friendships and continued business,
Mike and Cathy Schultz SCO

Hi Everyone,
We are pleased to announce that all Paid in Full Orders are in physical production.
All are in resin, most are already assembled, and some are already being painted!
Not to be nags, but please do keep an eye out for emails from us for shipping, and one eye on the Spam folder to make sure none are accidently ending up there.
And just in case you missed our last announcement:
We are excited to inform you that we are releasing an incredible number of Sharks next year. We will begin in 2012 with the first Shark in our NEW - Ultimate Bruce Shark NTT Collector's Set.
It will start with an Entirely New Full Length Bruce NTT 2.0 that is being modeled on the Pristine, Sleek, New & Powerful Original Shark City Bruce from the Vineyard before it ever got wet, water-logged, stretched out and baggy etc.
Following every Quarter in 2012 we are releasing another Sequel Shark with the second of course being the Brucette.
We will be releasing other production sketches and info in a few days. Please keep current with our Facebook page as well.
Further details will be released before this weekend. These are certainly exciting times for all us Fans!!
Also towards the end of 2012 we will release the other sharks as listed in our previous Blog entry.
Steve, a.k.a. “Captain Collector” asked if this was too much work to expect from me in too short a period of time?
My answer; it would be if I already had not modeled lots of these Sharks throughout the year! My friends, I have been modeling sharks since I was 9 years old or so.... I can sculpt and draw them with my eyes closed. But, thankfully, I have been modeling Brucette and the Jaws 3D Bruce for over a year now! AND, thankfully, the HUGE 1/6 Brucette Bust is 50% complete already!
The ALL NEW BRUCE SHARK NTT 2.0 has already been in physical form for over 4 1/2 months as well! You cannot achieve what we have without some very precise planning, and long term commitment. We have been following a tightly focused plan and are way ahead of schedule. Feels great to be well ahead too. You just can't make this kind of quality and quantity happen in a few months, you have to really plan it all out.
Why is it that my self-proclaimed competition knew nothing of any of this?
Why would he? He was only hired to promote the NTT. Be careful who you trust out there...
Everyone can continue to rest assured in the Well Established Professional theme with us here at Shark City Ozark. We post it, and it truthfully comes to pass, ahead of schedule, and better than we advertised; For a great price at the best quality, and with bonus surprises too! We keep our word and take care of our customers. Anyone that is new to us at SCO can just look at our track-record within the community.
We have been planning ahead and working oh-so-hard to please and impress and give to our community of fellow fans our very best. So let the gawkers' continue to gawk, and the squawkers continue to squawk! We have proven our intentions and integrity in this community and our goal is to blow everyone away in 2012!
We sure thank you all again for your continuing encouragement and for your business.
If you have a question or concern please drop us a line. More is coming, and very soon. Waaaay more!
Please everyone, have a MOST EXCELLENT Day!,
Mike and Cathy Schultz

Hello everyone!
We want to share our intentions for the upcoming year with everyone.
We have STUDIED many hundreds of letters and postings from collectors, friends and fans telling us what they want, and enjoyed MANY sharing their “Dream wish-lists”.
Well folks ... we have listened and are responding by diving head-first into full blown pre-production of the BEST Bruce Shark Collectibles yet for 2012!
“The Copy-Catter’s gonna have a Heart-Attack when he sees what SCO’s bringing ya!”
The Ultimate Bruce Shark Collectors Set:
Contains ALL NEW Nose to Tail NTTs, or Full-Length Shark Displays from each of the FOUR Movies!
Starting the collection off will be the release of the MASSIVELY REQUESTED----
1.) BRAND NEW BRUCE NTT 2.0*
The original Bruce NTT Shark from Sharkcityozark was based on about 4 gigs of mapped out reference material of the Right-Sided Platform Shark from the Movie’s Third Act. It is still the most accurate model of the war-torn Platform Shark.
However; The Entirely Brand New Bruce NTT 2.0 is modeled after the Pristinely Brand New Original Shark City Bruce from the filming location, BEFORE it ever got its fins wet!
> No water logging, no sagging, no wrinkles; no repairs or seams; just pure raw, sleek power!
THE Shark that Mr. Alves and Mr. Spielberg dreamed of, The Shark that Mr. Mattey thought would work flawlessly.
> Other features are a new collectible scale. No longer will massive freight charges have to apply, no longer will fans need to rearrange their rooms to fit just one of our sharks in. Everyone can own an NTT 2.0 affordably just by a mouse-click!
At this time we are planning on 25 to 28 inches in length. We have and are modeling in different scales now for comparisons.
Our test models will verify soon the best median length for display and shipping purposes, so stay tuned to SCO for Updates..
> All seams fit tight, the pectoral fins will be Airplane Straight and fit TIGHTLY to the body [No Gaps!], and even the claspers will be more pronouncedly “firm” per one fan's request!
Full deep gills, rich details, full depth mouth detail, feathered fin edges, and a much greater detail resolution
due to a new form of production!
2.) Brucette NTT from the 2nd Movie will follow, in scale to the ALL NEW Bruce NTT 2.0.
It features the burned and scarred face as well as EVERY movie accurate scratch and detail.
From head to tail there has not been as perfect a replica of this Shark as what we are currently modeling!
3.) Bruce 3D NTT will follow next and be in scale with all the other Sharks. This model is based on the Full-Scale Underwater-filming Shark and also feature every nuance and screen accurate detail. In fact the leading authorities have already been enlisted and are actively helping us make this Shark to be as perfect as all the other SharkCityOzark Sharks in every possible way!
4.) The Revenge Bruce NTT will complete the collection. Understandably not everyone’s favorite shark, or Movie; but no collection would be complete without it. This Model is also being modeled in scale to that other 3 Sharks and will fully include all screen accurate details. Its unique overbite, its unique skin style, its unusually thick fins, the entirely too small set of teeth in the lower jaw... If you saw it in the movie, it will be "to scale" accurate in this Shark Display.
*A new Collector’s Shark is intended to be released every quarter under the current set of plans that we are working with. Stay tuned for further information, details, plan changes and PRICING.
*For those that Pre-Order the entire set ahead of time, we are offering a FREE in-scale and movie accurate Baby Bruce 3D from the movie to pose along side their Bruce 3D NTT! Again, available only to those that Pre-Order the entire set prior to the shipping of the first ALL NEW BRUCE NTT 2.0. in 2012.
*All Sharks will have specialized, highly-detailed, hand-crafted and Screen-Themed displays included for FREE.
* Keep Checking Back with our SCO Blog for further details.
Other offerings for 2012 are:
Man, that was fun!
Have a great weekend,

Hello Everyone,
More great News! We have 3 separate ship-out days planned for this week.
If all goes as planned this week then we will be filling all but the last 2 remaining 1/6 Bruce Busts that are paid in full! Not only did we start shipping almost 2 weeks early, but here we are nearing completion of almost every paid in full order; it is amazing what this family can do!
Our next goal is to do the same with the Open-Sided Sharks as well. We will be running resin mid-week. So this week will see all Open-Sided Sharks on the bench for assembly and detailing. We have so many orders to fill I am guesstimating it will take us a few full weeks to complete them, but all should be shipping very soon.
We are close to announcing some pretty extreme news as well, and close to blabbing our new line up of products for pre-order and shipping just next year. I would like to remind everyone that if you want to get your shark in time for Christmas then you need to order and/or pay in full as early as possible. All who anticipate a Christmas delivery should have their orders in no later than November 12th.
If all goes well, then we may very well be able to have everything that is paid in full shipped before December; as it is now. This may change should we get a rash of paid in full accounts, but our goal is to clear the books and clean house if possible. We are gearing up to make next year for SCO, and thereby all of you as well, to be the most Incredible yet.
If you want a Huge 1/6 Scale Bruce Bust or 18-inch Open Sided Shark, or 25-inch Mako, or Production Blank of the NTT then you better order them now, or in the VERY near future. We can not keep their production runs open forever.
Besides, the sooner we end our production runs then the more rare and valuable those sharks become.
A win-win for all that got one while we made them.
Ok, back to the Shark-Mine with me.
Please Everyone, Have a Good and Safe day,
Mike Schultz

Hello everyone,
We wanted to continue to keep everyone in the loop and current on happenings here at SCO.
First, we are still hard at work on the next batch of sharks. This next set ships middle to late next week. We’ll be shipping NTT’s, OSS and Bruce Busts so please keep an eye on your emails for shipping notices. We do ask that you to continue to check your spam and alternate email accounts as we still have a few completed sharks sitting awaiting contact from their owners, some for almost 3 weeks!
We have two community announcements to share, one awesome and one sad.
First the good news; we congratulate Kirstin on her marriage and wish her health, happiness and lots of healthy little future Jaws Shark fans as well. Kirsten, the best thing that ever happened to me was and still is Cathy. We know that the more work you put into marriage, then the better and funner it continues to be. She is my best friend, my right hand, she keeps me in check and focused and makes it all worthwhile.
Now for the sad news, not to eclipse the good; but we respectfully announce the passing of a fellow Jaws fan, David. He was a very avid fan and collector, and a very gracious and appreciative friend and SCO customer. He was always kind and quick with a positive or helpful compliment. And he will be missed.
Lastly, we wish to thank all who have been and are continuing to participate in providing us feedback. For those that may have missed our previous announcement we ask that if you would send us a quick email with a helpful critique, suggestion or wish-list statement then we will surely put feet to your ideas. What do you feel should be our next big release?
Yes, I have 4 prototypes in the works now, but your suggestion may be so fresh and so much better than my ideas that I back-burner everything else and jump to your idea! Do you own an SCO shark and have a tip, suggestion or criticism, then please share your thoughts with us. We promise to take to heart whatever is offered to us. We really do want to exponentially improve every aspect of our business. We want happy customers that continue to feel pride in their investment collectibles and that by word of mouth help us grow our business. Word of mouth is VERY powerful and that is where most of our sales come from.
So, the next time you are on a Jaws, or Shark, or Movie, or Toy, or Collectibles, or prop forum please do remember to post up a photo or link or brag on your own SCO piece.
We thank you all again for checking back with us, joyfully offering your praise and support, providing helpful suggestions and for just keeping the energy level up in a positive way in our fan community.
Please take your day and make it a good one for you and yours,
Mike and Cathy Schultz

Home is truly the most excellent place of all.
And it's always great to return there. Our new home is our very first Original Home, The Jaws Board.
It has been an adventure at times, we can all agree that I have made some serious mistakes in judging human character along the way... But, Wow!, we can finally be a part of a credible and Real Jaws fansite, with actual-individual-real-live people; this is going to be a refreshing TREAT for us Schultz's! You wouldn't believe the things we have seen out there..... [shudder and a head-shake..]
Anyway, we just wanted to thank and compliment the men and woman of The Jaw Board, for understanding and caring and welcoming us back so kindly.
It can finally be all about the Shark; Just as it should be.

Hello Again Everyone!
Been a busy week so far for SCO again. We are still filling orders faster than ever before. I would like to remind everyone that we are still nearly 2 weeks ahead of schedule not only for the shipping dates of both the Bruce Busts but also the Open Sided Sharks as well.
This is huge news considering that both of these products were not only conceived by us earlier this year, but successfully run through prototyping and production within the first 2 quarters of the same year! This is unheard of in the Toy and Collectibles world. We truly have it good here in-house.
This was one of the prime topics at our Comicon Panel this year. That it can take a minimum of 12 to 14 moths just to make a small change in an action figure's belt color for the big companies. But since we handle everything ourselves in-house here, what takes the big boys many months can be solved here in simply a few days or weeks! This is because we do it all by ourselves in our very own house.
Once again we want to stress that all of our SCO sharks and accessory products are absolutely 100% fully and wholly conceived here, designed by us alone, and prototyped and molded and produced individually by us alone. At no time has the NTT or any of our sharks ever been the product of any outside interference or aide other than the grateful input offered us by the master himself, Mr. Joseph Alves. In-house from the old Ozark Bruce Busts and original NTT's all the way to the current sharks shipping today. What a thrill this is!
It is a ton of work for us to take our ideas and produce them through to a finished product ourselves. It's even more work to take these patterns through the molding and casting phase. Picture it like this. Each shark we sell is actually a model kit. We not only clean up, assemble, seam, paint and detail each 'kit', we had to scratch-build the original pattern ourselves and mold and cast each one! I am still amazed at it all. We actually do this as a family guys! Every time we open a mold and pull out a perfect little shark or set of fins or teeth it still excites me.
Yes, it’s been a lot of work for our family, that's for sure. They deserve lots of credit. Times are rough out there, that's for sure too. For now it looks like a solid gig here just swimming, and eating and making little sharks... Our thanks many times over to ALL our customers that make this possible! If it was not for my fellow fans and customers and your avalanche of help and encouragement we wouldn't be where we are today!
Make it a great weekend!

Hello!
This is Cathy, you may have noticed we haven’t written in a little while. Our two sons have had surgery this past week.
Though recovery will be a long process, they are both doing better and we thank you so much for your kind words and prayers on their behalf.
For everyone who has, and is still providing us with feedback for what their next dream-sharks should be we thank you. Likewise with all the support since mid-August your response has been pretty overwhelming and REALLY appreciated. Please continue to
email us any wishes, desires, ideas, suggestions and critiques so that we can continue to improve these products and release EXACTLY what you all have been dreaming of owning all these years.
We are also proud to share that nearly most orders have been filled and shipped.
We will all be back in the shop next week to get more of those Open-Sided Sharks going and to finish off the paid in full Bruce Busts.
We ask everyone to double-check your emails and Spam folders just in case you are missing emails from us. We have some sharks that are sitting and waiting to ship for almost two weeks now awaiting responses from their owners for shipping.
Hey everyone, take your day back from the grouches of the world and make it a good day,
Mike and Cathy Schultz

Hello Everyone!
What's new? Well, we have been making lots of little sharks and living life in general.
The life in general has been kind of interesting as of late. I was awakened very late last night,or very early depending on how you look at things, by a strange and loud noise upstairs.
Now, we being American gun owners are not afraid of things that go bump in the night.
Owning a few firearms is the best thing that you can do to help you sleep well and feel very at peace with the world..
And the great State of Missouri is a Castle Law State, which means you can defend yourself, family and property with deadly force if need be. We just don't seem to have the legal and crime problems other demographics seem plagued with..
Someone once asked me as a Gun-Owner, 'Hey, what are you so afraid of man?'
I answered, 'Lets see, we own .22's, and 9MM's, and .38's, and 12 Gauge rifles, and AK-47's...
Nope, not afraid of one damned thing at all to be quite honest.."
Another time someone asked me why I owned AK-47's, so I told them, "because cops are too heavy to carry.."
I think that you get what I am saying folks.. Because remember, when seconds count the Police are usually about 20 minutes away!
So upstairs I tip-toe armed and curious. It was nice to also bump into Jake who was also very armed and just as curious.
So we look around and you won't believe what we all found; Long story short I still cannot believe what we found.
In place of a normal upstairs toilet I found instead a fine scale miniature of old faithful erupting!
Yep, I said upstairs, toilet and erupting... What A mess. Seems the Ballcock burst and full pressured water was blasting water nearly 2 1/2 feet in the air! The Noise that had disturbed me downstairs had been the porcelain lid being popped up and slammed down by the water pressure! Never, have I ever heard nor seen anything like this. And I am an avid DIY sort. Toilets are made to not do this. But this toilet was also apparently installed by another avid DIY type who did not know what in the world he was doing. What a horridly wet mess. Thank goodness it was all clean water!
Anyway it put us one shop day behind in our production of little sharks. But also thank goodness we are still something like 2 weeks ahead to begin with. I had wanted to ramble more about some things, but will give you all good people a break and bug you about some of our newer products maybe next time.
Make it a great day, Remember everyone, if you are not dealing with me or Cathy or one of our kids then you are not dealing with
www.sharkcityozark.com; because we are 100% a family owned and operated business.

Hi Everyone!
Been a B U S Y few days for us.
In a nutshell we have shipped a lot of sharks, Cathy tried to chop her thumb off with an X-Acto knife, I slightly kinda broke my toe a little. We found out that Jake is actually taller than Sam by 1/4 inch, [both over 6 friggen feet tall...... eeesh!]; we finally had it with our ancient G.E. Potscrubber 900 dishwasher that never worked right and tore it out and threw it off the 2nd story deck -- and shipped some more sharks on top of all that!
So far the reception of the new Bruce Busts and the little Open Sided Sharks has been astounding. We are still getting in reports and photos to update a new section here on SCO that will be the 'Customer Gallery' section wherein happy owners get to pose with their sharks and say a few words good or bad. So far ALL good.
There have been a few folks confused about their pre-ordered Bruce busts so here are a few answer to the questions that we have received so far incase you too might be wondering about something similar.
First, about how to display your new 1/6 Bruce Bust. Like we advertise it can be hung on your wall with the already installed hanger on the flat backside. For desktop display it will stand on the same flat backside, just picture the Movie's poster and you'll soon get it. Now just so there is no confusion, this Bruce bust is not made to lie flat on its chin on a table, it will roll.
Why?
Because it is modeled with its mouth wide open and we would have had to change the shape of Bruce's neck area to make it rest on its neck, and it would very much cease to look like the real thing were we to do so; just trust me on this.
Next up was the concern over getting a surprise for pre-ordering. Yes, we like to surprise people when they exercise trust in us and pre-order something so complex and expensive based only on limited description and VERY rough prototype images.
Most customers who have just received their Bruce Bust got it as we intended it to be, but just so that we are all clear; we advertised it would have, “... a throat insert to hint at the inner mechanics”.
The surprise is that instead of the originally planned printed decal of a forced perspective insert showing Bruce's mechanics to scale, we went very far beyond this.
We spent several months studying and measuring reference of the different Bruce sharks and actually built a physical scale diorama of the mechanics including accurate framework, pneumatic cylinders and hoses etc...
Roughly it takes 3 of us an extra day and a half and about $72 to include this incredible surprise free to customers. We feel that it is an incredible, never before been attempted surprise worthy of at least one oooh and an ahhhhhh when the box is opened for the very first time.
It is meant to be hard to see too BTW. The mech inserts are all purposely mounted just off axis to mimic how every single reference photo that I have shows that the original Bruce was never symmetrically perfect in any way, shape, contour or form.
Oh, one last thing -- when you receive your order, all of your paperwork is in that same box usually at the very bottom secured in a manila envelope with your name on it.
That will do it for now. We'll have another video blog up soon. I think everyone will really like it!
Make it a great day for you and yours folks!

Hello All!
Well, we had a very successful weekend -- we were able to ship many 1:6 scale Bruce Busts as well as a few Open-Sided Sharks Friday and Saturday... and customers were pleased to discover that the shipping was far less than we had originally estimated!
You’ll also notice a new addition to our Blog page! It is our first video blog in a series that we will be putting up from time to time. Meet Mike and the entire Schultz Family and stay tuned for more videos!
We would also like to make mention that the first batch of Open-Sided Sharks taught us that they were about twice the labor and complexity as planned on. So as previously posted, rates will slightly increase now since multiple displays have already been shipped out.
Have a great day!

Good Morning everyone,
We wish to thank those brave American men and women who risk their lives everyday for our freedom. Our Family’s heart goes out to those who lost loved ones on that tragic day and every single day since then.
Our sincere prayers, thoughts and hopes to all of the victims of islamic terror-politics from 9/11 and still to this day.
We look to a brighter future than what it has brought us all so far.

Hello again everyone!
WE DID IT! We will be sending out shipping notices for the first set of "Open-Sided Shark" and "1:6 Bruce Bust" orders tomorrow!
Now that our business has been able to ‘streamline’ like we have wanted to since last year, we are thrilled to share that shipping dates will now be dramatically quickened. We are able to far more rapidly build and ship your collectibles from the time you make it 'Paid in Full'. What used to take a few months we can now do in weeks. It is still common for businesses like ours to require 4 to 12 weeks from 'paid' status to the build and ship-out date. We are trying to beat even the minimum of this delay. We want to drop this figure down to only a few weeks wait for building and shipping for any paid in full status. We are already surprising ourselves at how much we can get done in a day's time.
Next, we are working to fulfill all of our paid in full orders now. Starting from the earliest date of completed payments up to the present. Whether it’s an NTT or the newest Open-Sided shark or Mako, if it’s paid in full (or close to it) then it is officially on the bench in production.
We have and are still continuing to honor every promise and commitment that we have made to everyone out there and our track record advertises what kind of people and what kind of business that we are. Thank you all for seeing this and making your appreciation known.
It looks like everything here at sharkcityozark.com is far more efficient and aboveboard than ever before.
It really has been worth all the fuss and muss to clean house.
Probably by the next time you check back in here we will have a surprise or two to post up...

As we head into the weekend I wanted to post up just one more Blog entry.
We have had some often asked questions about the Production"Test Blanks" for the NTT.
Here is a brief answer to those common few questions most often asked, to you who are interested:
“Why not sell the production Blanks as regular NTT sharks to people?”
Answer, because they were successful tests that brought me to being able to consistently offer the same thing to everyone.
Some are a little lighter, some are heavier due to experimenting with different resins and amounts of resins and RPMs on the caster. Some were tail heavy and some were nose heavy etc.. Some had internal support even..
As an example, right now I have already produced 7 test blanks for the new 18-inch Open-Sided shark. It's always the same thing with each new piece to determine as soon as possible the right resin amounts, rotations, resins, pigment ratios.. lots more etc.....
There may be more of these depending on today's results. Once I get consistent results that are best for everyone and everything then the pieces are made and sold as run pieces.
“How many of these NTT Test Blanks do you have available?”
As of this writing, I believe that there are enough pieces to make 8 blanks.... but do not quote me on this. They were moved to a storage space to make room for new products under development so I'm going by memory.
“What will you do when they sell out?”
I am close to starting on a BRAND NEW and improved full length 2.0 Shark that is also 1/8 scale. In the years that have passed since beginning the NTT, we have been privileged to be the recipients of MUCH astounding new reference material.
Much of it on another version of Bruce. The NTT was and is great for the version of the Right-Sided Platform Shark that it depicts. This new full length 2.0 Bruce will be just as accurate, if not more so and of a different version of Bruce. I have factored in over a hundred different comments and 'wish list' items from current owners and other fans of what they really want a shark to have and be. This new 2.0 Full Length 1/8 Bruce will feature many of those wishes, and a far greater accuracy level for its version of Bruce, thanks to the newer reference materials.
Now, as for the shipping of the new 1/6 Bruce Busts and the smaller 18-inch Open-Sided Sharks, we are pleased to announce that we are still on schedule and will be shipping on or before time within the next 2 weeks at most.
For those of you that Paid in Full early on, please keep a close eye on your emails for our shipping notices. Maybe even keep an eye on your Spam folders too just in case. We will begin shipping to those in order of who Paid in Full foremost.
My family and I again thank all of you for flooding us with emails and phone calls of support and encouragement this week.
We had no idea just how many of you out there knew about and cared so much about us.
Your kind words really help to cheer us on!

Samuel Schultz in the shop (8-31-11)
8-31-2011
Hello again everyone!
Well I have to pridefully gloat that Rae (pictured below with Mike) did an amazing job with the new molds for the Open-Sided shark. Some of our best work yet. We will be a few days trimming and taking care of mold type stuff, and then it’s into production and making little sharks for shipping.
Today’s picture (above) shows Samuel in the shop helping me out. (He's performing a Top Secret task in that photo, and man is he good at what this thing is that he does...)
It still looks as though we will be shipping on or before schedule for the first half of September.
Also, we will avoid the temptation to put up completed new photos of the actual products until a few days after we ship out.
We want everyone to be in “Shock and Awe” when they receive their paid in full sharks.
Which brings us to the differences between a “Pre-Order” display and the actual product.
A Pre-Order display, such as our new 1:6 Bruce Bust, is the absolute closest and coolest that we feel we can get a model looking before a certain deadline expires. Once we reach our goal, or the deadline, then we spend most of the day setting up and finding great angles and lighting for those Pre-Order photos that originally stirred ya'll up so much to already purchase your copy.
Now, the actual model you receive if you Pre-Ordered will ALWAYS be far MORE for far LESS. We reward Pre-Order bravery and faith with a lower price and the added surprise of seeing the finished piece with all of the extras.
WHAT IF I DIDN’T PRE-ORDER MIKE?!
Good question.
You can still purchase the same display but it will cost much more.
So, we encourage folks to Pre-Order. Pre-Order pricing is over the day we ship the first Paid in Full (PIF) display, which we will announce that day as it gets closer in just a few weeks or less.
Keep checking back with us friends. I am still days away from having a sneak-peak to share, but there are other plans in the works too...
Thank you all for your time, and for continuing to call and email us with your support and kind words. It is so nice to see all of our efforts these last few years have earned so very many peoples' trust and kindness.
Have a great day!
Mike
