So friends, we have been thinking for about two thousand sharks now of how to improve our Shark Line. Pouring through fan wish-list items, our own ideas for improvements in manufacturing process and just seriously wanting to get customers their sharks within a week or two instead of a month or more were our chief goals.
Of course the cherry on top was spending about 4 months adding accurate detail and skin texture to bring our newest three-foot-long sharks up to the level of our 2014-2015 Bruce shark bust's detail levels! Oh, don't worry future 1/6 Bruce and ScarFace Brucette Bust owners, we have approximately tripled the amount of detail in our newest 1/6 Busts while upgrading and improving them! Releasing in a week or two-ish.. Now, more than ever, they really just look like historical 25-foot-long, worn out rubber sharks; miniaturized by a shrink-ray.☺ Yet more originality, and just the BEST SHARKS ever there was from sharkcityozark.com P.S. Forgot to mention that the pectoral fins now >>SNAP-Tight<< right into their sockets!

This is how my day started:
I awoke, sat at my desk in my office, and pushed the button to start my PC to check all the messages [about 80-100/day now]. >> Click..... SNAP!*...... ting-tink...<< That my friends, is the odd sound my push-button made as it depressed normally then stuck for a second then broke - springing up-up-up about a foot into the air and then bouncing on my floor. I had to hot-wire the connection to start my PC this morning!☺ Now I have to raid the spares box from our Mechanical Shark we built for SyFy's GhostShark film to see if I have any more momentary-switches that I can wire in to fix my PC! ** Update News ** EXCELLENT NEWS! A quick note to UPDATE everyone that all the New Molds came out perfect [as usual] and we are busy casting up the myriad of pieces to fill orders this week. This is FIVE All New products worth of molds, castings, and orders/pre-orders both Vendor and Private. More details to follow as soon a we can spare the time. Oh, credit for the photo goes to May Sahara. He is one of our overseas friends & Film Shark-Art vendors and this is another excellent photo of one of his customers enjoying one of his floor models in his store.☺Thank you May for all the FUN☺! As I promised here is another Behind the Scenes Jaws 2 photos that I have been BLESSED with by good friends in the Industry.
My best guess based on what is shown here is that this is from just after the scenes where ScarFace busts through the side, but maybe before some of the fire was shot? Just based on the condition and the flexible break-away area. Does anyone have any other observations or have any meaty info to share, please? Asymmetry - - Wonkiness -- Non-Equation
Whatever you call it, it is definitely Characteristic of every Bruce & Sequel Shark! Explanation: This is why you rarely see any 'Bruce Shark filmed dead on. When you do you will almost always see those eyes and nostrils are very much different and off level, off beam, the crooked mouth, the unbalanced jowls etc... Puppet character skins can twist and bunch up on their shape frames here and there through a movement range. There has to be room to move and slide a little between sections. Bruce being a torpedo shape was severely prone to this. So was our mechanical "GhostShark' that we build for SyFy's film. This is just one of those things that animatronic builders fight. But Bruce's sculpt was not 100% perfectly symmetrical to begin with either. Our newer sharks are far more symmetrical for sake of proper static shelf display, but not so much as to ditch history. Just naturally though, as much as anyone's face or body is on/off-symmetry. For example, looking in the mirror most people have differences in their nostrils and eyes as far as shape, size and placement. Finely measured historical accuracy. It's why our sharks' look 'just right' from every angle and not just `good from one or two angles... Our newer models that are releasing very soon reflect this degree of improved symmetry without throwing reality and screen-used historical accuracy out the window.. Balance is essential. That and a ten-fold increase in detail and skin texturing... A better shark getting even better☺! sharkcityozark The intensity and frequency of these EPIC moments have been OVERWHELMINGLY AWESOME!
In other words, how best to start out a Tuesday, in ANY decade! Director, Author & Screenwriter Carl Gottlieb poses with "an Old Friend" our 2013-15, 3-foot long Bruce Shark. * - Thank you Carl, your works are TRULY EPIC! Release Notes: We are still very much on schedule for our multiple New Product Releases -☺. A few weeks from today will be quite an eye-opener for our community. I am going to go ahead and release the info that our 2012-2015, 37-inch long "Reel-Life Killer Shark" is being replaced with our SCO Original, Entirely New Shark simply named, "Deep Blue". More details as we approach its release. A Monday-morning mailbag of HAPPY Customer photos is one of the BEST ways to start off a workweek ☺. John Countryman, Audio & Video Specialist at Skywalker Sound LOVES his All New SCO Bruce Sharks!
Thank you very much, John, for these incredibly polished photos of you and your sharks to add to our Happy Customer Gallery. Enjoy! One of the AWESOME things about actually working in the Practical FX Industry since 2011 is getting to know other FX professionals and their families. This, and having provided over 4000 Film Shark Replica's and Shark Displays globally since even before Sharkcityozark's inception waaay back in 2010. [We used to provide life-sized dinosaurs, fossil builds, museum gift shop fossils and actually worked on dino-digs going back into the mid 90's!] Because of these things many people connected with the filming of our favorite Jaws films have introduced themselves to us.
Long story short; Our sharks are just this historically-perfect because of over a dozen fellow Industry friends sharing their personal Jaws through Jaws 4 photo albums with us. Gigs & gigs of material. Some I have even had to sign for! As promised I have gained permission from 2 of them to share a select few personal photos with the Jaws fan community. So I thought it would be fun to share a few photos a week or so, then explain them. Here is a cropped & blurred image sure to blow your minds when fully revealed. Outside of the provider & I, this photo-revelation is completely unknown to anyone else and will be the very first of its kind that I know of in the Jaws fan community. All will be understood when I share the final version and tell you what it really is☺. I hope you find this as exhilarating as I do☺! ENJOY! Hi friends!
We are working extremely hard to post up the All New 1/6 Bruce and ScarFace Brucette Busts within a few weeks or less. Following will be 2 of the All New 3 foot long Sharks also: >The All New 2016 HD Tow Sled Bruce Shark >The All New 2016 HD Platform Bruce Shark * There are other 3 foot sharks to be released soon after! Along with these sharks we will be releasing the All New Updated Barrels and also the NEW Scuba Tanks in both 1/12 & 1/8 scales just as we advertised back in Q4 2015 & Q1 2016. Yes, I am aware that Beller's copy-cat recaster immediately rushed out poor quality copies right after our posting. Honestly, what do you expect out of those types of people but this continued pirating-copying behavior? You know that you can't get good fruit from a rotten tree after all. As for us we will maintain our well earned course providing our SCO Original-Creations, just as we have all decade with our world's most Historically-Accurate Fine-Scale Bruce Shark Collectibles. But now on to the FUN part of the NEWS: We have enjoyed making many friends in the Film Industry since our start in providing Practical FX for the SyFy Channel back in 2011. It has been so wonderful to regularly talk and chat with the very people that worked in our favorite movies! Even though I was told that you get used to it, I am telling you all that we never will! When I pick up the phone or get a text from a famous director, producer, writer, actor/actress, singer or fellow SPFX brother it is ALWAYS a THRILL! And they and their families have gifted us Gigabytes of personal album photos for reference to make our sharks even better. We want to begin sharing some of these NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE - Jaws and Jaws 2 photos with the community. SO, over the next few weeks time I have the privilege of getting to share these photos here and there! So keep an eye out for them. For today's post I have the honor of sharing a painting by my Jaws friend Jack Spielman that he has titled "Jaws - Below the Surface" I like Jack's style. He has an eye for things shark if you ask me. Thank you Jack for today's shark eye-candy |
