Original Bruce Artist's Print
My infatuation with Bruce the Shark has spanned my entire life which now closes in on nearly 50 years. I say without a hint of any exaggeration that every single homework assignment, every test, every classwork paper, one high school semester's Science Research project and almost everything my hands have ever touched has some form of Bruce the Shark artwork or doodle somewhere on it; if even simply hidden on the backside. I am guilty of creating tens of, and perhaps hundreds of thousands of doodles, sketches, fine drawings, charcoals, air and brush paintings, physical models, and even digital models of Bruce the Shark which crowd every inch of my personal office, my art studio, 2 workshops and an entire building storing our molds for the last 3 decades. That's a lot of sharks!
We are all into sharks one way or another. We are all curious and amazed by them and we are all fans and collectors somehow. Of course my obsession looks to be more extreme than some. But this is only because my family and I have worked exhaustively to find ways to share our love of sharks, and Bruce the shark particularly, with others in a way that profits everyone. Of the many hundreds of well finished Bruce the Shark art pieces I have made these last 4 decades, Cathy and I have decided to begin sharing them with this simple color sketch. I believe it triggers memory flashes from several scenes from the film quite well. I intend for it to be just the proper balance between murky abstract and life-like detail. For those that appreciate this there will be more added to the collection once digitally sampled and cleaned up. ENJOY!

For me these ScarFace Brucette Shark sketches were a tremendous personal victory.
I was recovering in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield Missouri at that time. I was confined to bed there with both arms restrained by double IV lines, oxygen and all the other hospital trimmings.
The Chopper sketch was one of the first things that I literally was able to even try to work on after recovering from actually dying 3 times in the back of an ambulance from a cardiac trauma in October of 2009.
Until I found the strength to attempt these sketches I did not know if I had lost the fine motor-skills for drawing, painting and sculpting that I’d spent over 4 decades sharpening.
To the world these may only be sketches, but back then to me they were the whole world. To me they are still masterpieces of encouragement and vicotry over a near death experience.

Bruce 3D Artist's Print
I was an older teenager when Jaws 3D released. By then I had already modeled and mechanized a few of my own sharks. I was also an avid shark fisherman and in daily contact with sharks living on the ocean during these school years. Like everyone else I knew what the movie really was, but the main shark impressed me very much, and it compelled me to learn more about FX work.
I enjoyed how well it moved, how it looked, the nature of the vastly improved artificial skin and how well it seemed to perform onscreen. For me all shark films are just about the shark. When the shark is good it even makes a bad film well worth watching, and worthy of study.
This is what Jaws 3 meant to me; a wealth of technique to study. I still love the shark today. This sketch was our placeholder for years while I made my study of the main Bruce 3D Shark and replicated our own Ultimate Bruce 3D 25 inch prototype for sale.

Revenge Bruce Artist's Print
There is a great deal of history behind this particular sketch. Initially I drew the Revenge shark many years ago and it remained unfinished in one of my sketchpads along with hundreds of others sketches.
