About SCO:
While the name Shark City Ozark might not sound instantly familiar, we've been in the SPFX business for over 30 years quietly sculpting, molding, and casting museum quality pieces for satisfied clients demanding nothing but the best.  Among the many creatures we reproduce, our most recent focus is the legendary Great White Shark.

While we certainly love sharks, we also produce a multitude of mysterious and incredible creatures including full-scale dinosaurs like the ominous Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Many of our animatronic (or robotic) creations continue to delight and awe crowds in large museums and gift shops, encouraging increased consumer interaction, and of course happy retailers.

Taking this focus to another level, we've perfected the most famous of great white sharks in museum quality miniature scale… the iconic bigger than life film star known simply as "Bruce".

Some Considerations for your SCO Commission Piece

We get quite a lot of requests for private commissions every week. Aside from industry work they are the backbone of our business. What we have learned over the years is to start out with clear communication before we look to scheduling anything. As this is a functioning FX Studio any projects that we do schedule in must be profitable. To this end we have a set of standard questions that we have been using effectively for many years. Following are those questions to narrow things down.

Also, we get over 2 hours of correspondence to work through every day. We will try our best to answer you at least once every 24 to 48 hours during normal business days.

Questions:
  • What is your proposed budget for your project? Include shipping of item to your location in budget.
  • Once you've provided a budget, then we will provide options that we can all afford.
  • What is your ship-to location?
  • Do you have any project deadlines to meet?
  • Is this for personal home display or public display?
  • Is this display intended for film work or public attraction?
  • Is this for personal ownership or are you requesting a prototype for mass production?
  • Is your display area indoors in climate control or outdoors in direct sunlight?
These are the barebones basics so to speak. The more info we have up front the more efficient the process. Please include any extra sketches, diagrams or items that you feel are important to your project to help clearly communicate your expectations.
